Easy Rhubarb SaucePrint Recipe
- 1/4 cup of water
- 1/3 cup of sugar
- 2-1/4 cups of frozen rhubarb or sliced fresh
- Grated lemon zest as much as 1 teaspoon
- 1/8 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- Pound cake or vanilla ice cream
Boil sugar and water in a small saucepan, add the rhubarb add; cook and stir for about 5-10 minutes or until the rhubarb texture becomes soft and looks thickened. Remove from the heat and stir in lemon and nutmeg peels
Rhubarb is ready to be served, served while still warm, you can cool it on a baking pan, ice cream. Enjoy!
