Trail Blazers (25-28) Vs. Suns (17-36)

    What To Watch For

    Perimeter Scoring
If you recall, Wesley Matthews had to leave last Wednesday's game against New Orleans with an apparent ankle injury. He is listed as a game-time decision and if he can't go, the most likely scenario would be for Victor Claver to once again start in his absence. Fortunately for Portland, they not only have experience playing without Matthews this season, but they have done so against this very same Phoenix team. Wesley was fighting his hip-flexor injury in mid-December when the Suns came to town the first time and tried to give it a go, but after playing nine minutes in his first shift, he had to shut it down and the Trail Blazers were able to walk away with a 96-93 victory. What helped them power past Phoenix was a solid bench performance, in which the second unit came through with 22 points. 22 doesn't seem like a lot, but nearly everyone who came off the pine produced in some form offensively; that's what Portland needs tonight if Wes can't go.

    An Attacking Lillard
Not only did the Trail Blazers have a 28-11 advantage in free-throw attempts, which made all the difference in the world in a three-point game, but it was Damian Lillard who led the charge, getting to the charity stripe 10 times and converting nine of those attempts. Dame's a different beast when he looks to attack the basket first and shoot his jumper second. His best games this season (San Antonio, Miami, Golden State) have all seen an aggressive Lillard who uses both his quickness and the threat of making jumpers to blow by his defender for the bucket. If we see this Lillard tonight, the Trail Blazers should get back to their winning ways.

Nice Idea but I think the TWolves trade is very lobsided in our favor

Derrick Williams and Budinger are proven players in the league. Claver and Freeland are not

Hawes was playing nice this season and would be a good pick up imo ...

I love the Grit and Grind, and I love the Spurs timeless play. I think if the Spurs get to the finals, they will beat the heat, but they won''t beat the Grizzlies easily, and the Grizz can''t beat the Heat. I know it''s weird.
