    Trail Blazers (14-14) Vs. 76ers (14-16)

    What To Watch For

    Defend The 3-Point Line
Without Andrew Bynum, the 76ers have focused on taking their game to the perimeter. Philly takes 18 3's per game and makes 37% of their attempts -- good enough for 8th in the NBA. That means the Trail Blazers must close out on shooters such as Jason Richardson, Nick Young, Dorrell Wright, Jrue Holiday, and even Spencer Hawes. The one thing about Philly's shooters is they are extrmely streaky. We've all seen first hand what J-Rich is capable of as we witnessed him single-handily take over the 2010 playoff series when he was in Phoenix and Young who has scored 20+ in single quarters on more then one occasion. This means Portland must fight through screens and go over the top of the pick and rool, rather then underneath which would allow for more open looks.

    Lillard vs. Holiday
One night after dealing with Steve Nash, Damian Lillard gets another difficult assignment in Jrue Holiday who is one of the young, up and coming point guards in this league who doesn't get his fare share of the credit when media discuss the point guards. Currently, Hoiiday is averaging 19 points, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds per game. I believe the game will be won and lost with this matchup. Both players are the engine that drives each team's offense and when each player is on, their respective team rarely loses. If Lillard and Holiday play to a draw then the matchup will be decided upon the other members of hte Blazers and Sixers but if either Lillard or Holiday completely outplays their counterpart, that team will walk away victorious.

Dang we gotta get this win to get back above .500

This shouldn't be that difficult of a game since 76ers front court isnt the best. JJ, and LA should have a field day tomorrow. Funny how 76ers were like the worst perimeter shooting team like 3 years ago. I don't know if Jason Richardson will even play, he had back problems I heard.

I'm looking forward to the Lillard-Holiday matchup these two are like mirror images of each other I like watching Holiday play because just like Lillard he plays at his own pace and he has poise so it should be a good match up to watch. This game comes down to energy and effort since both teams played last night it should be a good hard fought game hopefully the Blazers will pull it out.

Yes, we feel a little grumpy after being squished by the Los Angeles Godzillas. But our confidence in our team remains high, and a fat healthy win in the Rose Garden tonight is warranted.

Laker loss hangovers are usually the worst. We need a big win at home to get the swagger back and hope that the Lakers lose their next one. I'm hoping for a blow out tonight against Philly

Anyone else see that HUGE smile on LA's face as he patted Claver on the head after hitting that 3 at the end of the 1st quarter?  Quite the glaring difference from what you see from Kevin Love, showing up JJ Barea the other night.

OUCH!  That ankle roll Meyers had was ugly.  All the weight and it almost touched the floor.  He won't be back anytime soon.  And just before a long road trip.  Brutal.

Claver played great coming out of the gate tonight. Ronnie had a good game too. Didn't like seeing Damian with 0 assists though and Barton seemed out of control. Looks like Freeland will get some time on this road trip with Meyers rolling the ankle. Gotta bring back high top shoes I say!

Long gone are the days of high tops and kevlar ankle braces when you didn't already have a sprained ankle.  I know it limits movement some, but with that much weight and jumping into eachother as often as they do... I dont' understand it.

Barton does play out of control, and it's difficult to be too hard on the guy because I don't think he plays within the offense very well.  Stotts has the team running a free flowing offense, and Barton just doesn't have the experience or decision making ability yet to best take advantage of the offense.  It's a process.  I'm hoping he'll catch on sooner than later.

More "shut down Lillard" strategy employed tonight.  Batum made the most of it, but Lillard really needs a reliable 2 in Wes to really hurt teams that play that game.

Damn didnt get to watch this games, all the cousins wanted to play Basketball at 24 hour fitness I snuck in ahhaha

But Batum over the past 5 games

    16 points 6 Rebounds 7 Assists 1 Block 1 Steal

HES BEASTING lol Nice to see him go to the line 8 times today.

Hickson had a nice game so it seems. Aldridge was decent, 16 points. 2 blocks, 4 assists  on 7-13 shooting. Only 5 rebounds though, I heard he got injured in the Laker game so maybe thats why.....i didnt watch that whole game

Hickson was back to normal. Batum played well, Lillard scored but 0 assists is never ever acceptable for a starting PG. We have some work to do but I will take the win as ugly as it was.

First need is a centre. And no one will take ten and 13 for 4th or 5th. After like the 10th pick the talent off is huge.

@Meese, it is quite ironic. They also just so happen to have the planets best player in Lebron James who leads them in rebounding with just over 8 a game.
