4:30 PM | The Palace At Auburn Hills | Detroit, MI
Trail Blazers (6-7) At Pistons (3-11)

    What To Watch For

    A Full 48 Minutes
Even without LaMarcus Aldridge in Brooklyn yesterday, the Trail Blazers were tied with the Nets heading into the final quarter before eventually running out of gas and losing 98-85. Aldridge is questionable/probable to return to the court tonight in Detroit, but if he does play, that still means the Blazers need to put together a full 48 minutes to get on the board during this road trip. And that all starts with the bench. The reserves must generate some offense in order for Coach Stotts to feel comfortable leaving them in the game while his starters rest. This game is also the second contest in back-to-back days which means Coach will need to lean on his bench even more so tonight. Will someone finally emerge? I think Ronnie Price, who has shown the ability to hit shots at times this season, and Joel Freeland, who is due to chip in, are the likeliest candidates against Detroit.

    Win The Hustle Board

If you've ever been to a game inside the Rose Garden, you know there is a statistical board called the "Hustle Board", which is comprised of rebounds, steals, and blocks. The team that wins those three categories will walk away victorious tonight. There's no question the Trail Blazers have the more talented roster on paper, but they must take the game as it won't be given to them. Also, the Palace at Auburn Hills has become one of the least visited venues and can be very quiet, meaning the Blazers will need to create their own energy to fuel them through this matchup. And one way to do so is by blocking shots, diving on the floor for loose balls, and getting easy buckets in the open court off of steals.

With LaMarcus possibly out tonight I hope Batum and Wes take this game over. Only mismatch that favors Detroit should be Monroe vs Leonard. Go Blazers!

Let LA rest his back and watch the game. He needs to see his team in full force so he can confirm his role and their tendancies. He will be stronger when he comes back. The others need playing time to gel. Batum has to score 20 or more. That's mandatory. Price, Will and Sasha NEEDS to score 6 points each too.

Lamarcus is out!!! Awwwww! Noooooo! thats just great. I remember last time we played at the palace in january and we got dominated, asking Will Barton to score 6 points? Thats like asking Raymond Felton to drive by a Mcdonalds without ordering anyting,Impossible

Wesley always has a big game after a loss..I expect him to have one tonight. I agree with karenbrown about LaMarcus getting healthy and the backups needing to step up. Detroit is a perfect game for him to rest. Chloe I also have bad memories about last year in Detroit. It was the start of the meltdown. This is a new chapter though and I like most of our matchups except for the post. Monroe is going to be tough on the rookies to defend. Wish list is the same....let's have our first game with at least 2 bench players in double digits. Also Chloe...it's doughnuts and cupcakes that will stop Felton in his track! Hope Lillard drops 50pts on Felton when we play them. I'll still always be a Sheed fan though!

LaMarcus is a game-time decision. He said he was going to warm-up first and see how his back felt before deciding whether or not to play.

If we don't beat the Pistons, this is going to be on looong road trip. With or without LA, this team should handle Detroit, but again it all falls on the bench. 15 points a night? Is that so much to ask for?

Ooops :-) Barton had more points than Detroit had fans in the Palace.

Lol. I remember after that loss last year at detroit I commented on Blazertalk about how Nate Mcmillion was losing it,and I don't know her name,I think its Sarah,Anyway whoever that generic blonde is thats on there she shot me down saying it was stupid to think of firing Nate and she wasn't even gonna talk about it. Honestly I think its only fair she hands over her job to me. Cause look what happened.

If you're going to lose back 2 back games, make sure the Wizards are your next opponent.

Two winnable games behind us. We need four out of five of these remaining games to keep this road trip respectable.

As long as we have Victor Claver on our team we can do anything. (That was a bad joke)

Thank you, Knorton. Now more rebuilding or anything. No rookie nonsense. Get a solid Defensive big. Trade every single pick to get it.

Not sold on Muhammad. His offence isn''t really that great. Oladipo would be great, but I would trade it all for a defensive big.

I don''t trust big men with a history of injury. Ibaka also weighs more than Noel, but you''re right, early days yet, he could bulk up. I am sure, that he will lose some of his speed and athleticism when he does though. Wasn''t that one of his bes...
