Trail Blazers To Hold Draft Lottery Viewing Party At Buffalo Wild Wings

    PORTLAND, Ore. - The Trail Blazers will hold an NBA Draft Lottery viewing party on Wednesday, May 30 starting at 4:30 p.m. at the Lloyd Center Buffalo Wild Wings location, as the order for the first 14 picks of the 2012 NBA Draft are unveiled.

    The event will include a live webcast on-site, as television broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice join radio broadcasters Brian Wheeler and Antonio Harvey and Digital Reporter Casey Holdahl to analyze the NBA Draft and interview special guests. Buffalo Wild Wings will be offering special pricing on food and beverage. The BlazerDancers will also be in attendance.

    The NBA Draft Lottery, televised live on ESPN, is scheduled to run from 5 - 5:30 p.m. (Pacific). The first three picks in the draft will be determined by the lottery, and the remaining "lottery teams" will select in positions 4-14 in inverse order of their consolidated standings at the end of the regular season (listed below).

    Portland has the potential of entering the 2012 NBA Draft with two lottery picks for the first time since the lottery was introduced in 1985. The team has a 0.8% chance of winning the lottery and a 2.9% chance of earning a pick in the top three.

    In addition to their own pick, the Trail Blazers will receive New Jersey's pick if it doesn't land in the top three. New Jersey has a 7.5% chance of winning the lottery and a 25.19% chance of landing a top-three pick.

    Trail Blazers guard Wesley Matthews will represent the team at the Disney/ABC's Times Square Studios in New York, where the NBA Draft Lottery is held.

    The 2012 NBA Draft will be held on Thursday, June 28, at The Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. and broadcast by ESPN at 4 p.m. PDT.
