2 guards are in abundance this draft. Especially when you consider that most of the guys slotted at sf are really 2 guards in the NBA. The only thing we should be considering is how much we spend on a proven center.

Yes. No need for a wing or anything. Not Gobert, not Dieng. If we can get a proven defensive centre AND take a pick without losing any of our starters, sure, but otherwise I don't want a rookie big man.

Shabazz talks a good game. Id much rather that we go after players of the Lillard mold. Humble & hungry. Preferably from a small school with a huge chip on their shoulder. If it aint broke.

I was unimpressed with shabazz's shooting.  A new 7' footer through the draft is not the answer either.  Go after Pekovic might be an improvement.

not that i think it's probable but wouldn't be interesting if they packaged hickson with the 10 on draft day in a sign and trade? anybody know if they can do that or would it have to be a handshake deal?

Handshake because we don't have the pick yet and I think there's some scenario where we might have to give it to Charlotte.

Would be cool to trade up and grab Oladipo, Mclemore, Noel, Porter

Others I like Jammal Franklin, Glen Rice Jr, Dieng, Adams, Gobert, Len

Tony Snell looked awesome he just seems so smooth at times that he reminds of Batum, someone with lots of talent but not aggressive enough.

CJ Leslie was a athletic freak. Oladipo looked great out there. Shabazz struggled but he at least had the balls to compete.

Unless we get another solid bench player out of the deal, no way. Matthews is our best defender, our team leader, and our best three point shooter and clutch shooter. We don't want to trade that away.

i would love to get otto porter, he seem like the next kevin durant, he can score, rebound, pass, steal, block. maybe trade hickson, 2 2nd round pick for king 6th pick unless lottery ping pong go our ways and land in the top 3. if we stays at 10th pick, i would looks at mccollum, who seem to be damian lillard at SG position, i also like dieng, he look like a serge ibaka at best but marcus camby at worst. i also like shabazz now, if he can score 20 point a night wihout shooting too much he can be a steal, he could be james harden. i would like to trade 2 2nd round pick for thunder 12th pick, that mean if we get in top 5, we can get porter and one of the player that i listed on top

Trade Wes to get Oladipo PLEASE!

Oladipo is an athletic, cheap version of Wes. I would ecstatic if we get Oladipo!

Hopefully we can just get into the top 3 then we can keep wont have to trade Wes for him.

Lillard you trade two seconds and maybe get a low first round pick this is not the NFL. 2nds will never get a top 6 pick or top 12 pick.

Matthews shot a best 37% in college. Oladipo just shot 44% to assume he will not be a good 3 point shooter is presumptuous.

Matthews actually shot 43% in his first season but made less that 20 threes. In his final season he made 42 threes at 37% clip. Decent. Oladipo is definitely on the right track. I still think that Wesley is more valuable. Cmeese, I like Oladipo and he is exactly a Wesley type player, Three and D. If we get higher up, and had a chance at Otto Porter, wouldn't you take him over Oladipo. (Pretend we don't have big man problems) I wouldn't trade Wesley anyway, he's is actually our third most valuable player. Lillard and Aldridge are all stars, so Matthews is the next best. He's very valuable. Oladipo is a better defender, but Wes is a better three ball shooter. Wes took about three years to really get his three pointer to fall with NBA range. Oladipo may be better in the long run, but we have just finished our rebuilding year. Right now, in the coming season, Matthews will be better than Oladipo.

I think Cmeese will agree with me. Very tiny chance, but I think he will.

I would be happy with Porter or Oladipo

I would rather have Oladipo/Porter over Wes any day of the week.

Wes is a 3 and D player for 6.5 million a year. Oladipo way more athletic and can probably handle better than Wes right now.

In the coming season Wes will be better but what where will that get us? Your in troubleif Wesley Matthews is your 3rd best player

Oladipo will definitely be better than Wes, but right now, Wes is better, and we shouldn't take another rookie. We are rebuilt, no need for more rebuilding. And yeah I know Wes isn't great with the ball in his hands. I don't mind getting Oladipo/Porter, but we shouldn't trade Wes for them. Oladipo only managed about 13 points in COLLEGE. He will have to score more than that just to match Wes, which obviously won't happen right now. I don't know much about Porter's D so I can't really talk about that. I'm saying that right now, Wes over Oladipo. Three years down the line, maybe even two, Oladipo over Wes.

we don't needs to draft other SG because wesley is our starter and barton have a huge potntial and he show he can score late in the season. porter will plays more since he is more consistence and better future. porter can be barnes of this team but better. i see us being the golden state next year. PORTER OVER victor any day

I like Jamal Franklin if we get the pick at 10 and if we're going for a guard. I think Shabazz could be there but after workouts he'll probably rise. I like that Jamal said his defense is like Tony Allen and his offense is like JR Smith. You have to have a player with confidence on your roster, and when I say confidence I mean cockiness.

For the love of god, if someone voluntarily compares their offence to JR Smith do not draft him. JR is so inconsistent. So is Carmelo. People only focus on the clutch shots he makes, but they don't see that if he played well and took good shots, he wouldn't need to take clutch shots. He only shot 40.8 percent on his jumpers.

Steph Curry is also hot and cold, but becoming more and more hot and less cold. Even when steph has an off night, he usually chips in with assists.

Oladipo is someone I would take over Porter although I like Porter. I love Oladipo's intensity, athleticism, and basketball IQ. What kind of contract are we getting back for Wesley because that will make the biggest difference.

The biggest difference between Oladipo and Matthews, Wesley is a volume 3 point shooter while Oladipo can hit an open three. Oladipo is a good rebound Matthews is a terrible rebounder. Both are solid defenders but Oladipo will likely be better because he is just so much more athletic. Dribble penetration neither can create for themselves but Oladipo has slightly better handles but it also a bit more careless with the ball.

Oladipo is a mixture of Sefalosha and Tony Allen right now. His ceiling is likely somewhere around Andre Iguodala.

tough decision for blazers. you convince me right there cmeese47. i guess victor oladipo would be a good addition, but we can't trade for someone that haven't play in the nba. let just hope that the ping pong will falls our ways and land us top 5 pick. the image that i have in my head is that victor would look better in blazers uniform the porter would be. it going to be a interesting draft this year for the blazers

I have a question for you guys? If portland somehow won the lottery and got the 1st pick, would you guys rather trade down and draft a guy like oladipo/porter or stay at 1 and draft ben mclemore. Im just wondering on what you guys think of him, i know oladipo is better defensively, but i really think mclemore has a good chance of becoming a star, whereas i think oladipo will be a solid player but wont be one of those guys averaging 20 ppg. He shot 49% fg and over 40% from 3. He and lillard would make one of the best young backcourts, i think he could possibly start his rookie season. Matthews would slide to 6th man, something we originally paid him to do. And being the class act that matthews is, i think hed be fine with it if stotts thought itd help the teams chances of winning.
