Damian Lillard becomes just the fourth unanimous Rookie of the Year in NBA history, joining the likes of Ralph Sampson, David Robinson, and Blake Griffin!

SURE WISH THE BLAZERS WOULD OF LET FANS GO TO THE RG FOR THE ROY AWARD. WHEN B ROY WON THEY EMAILED THE SEASON TICKET HOLDERS AND LET THEM COME AND WATCH. BUT VERY PROUD OF DL HE IS OUR FUTURE!!
I am a fan of the Blazers with my son Zach.

Like we didn't know that was going to happen after the year he had.  Congratulations Damian Lillard.

I am a fan of the team with the brightest future, and wins more games than they lose.

B Roy should have won unanimously. Some idiot Raptors announcer voted for Bargnani.

I am a fan of Raymond Felton. Haha, seriously though I'm a fan of Batum's Lobs and JJ's Slams.

This was so obvious. If anyone hadn't voted Dame for first place, I would hope the league would revoke their voting privilege. Even the people who invented the fake controversy of Davis deserving it more voted for Damian.

I just can't wait to see the sophomore campaign he follows it up with!

Damian will go down in the history books for his record rookie season. He basically won every award you could win except the community award Faried won and even then he was a finalist. We struck gold with this young man and he deserves all the praise he humbly shakes off. He has that hunger that seperates good players from great ones and I'm sure we'll see him in the hall of fame at the end of his career.

Finally, a Portland draft pick that wasn't a bust. Even Lamarcus was picked by Chicago.

injuries doesn't make a player a bust just shows that there body wasn't meant to play a long 82 game season...... now being a healthy player and not being very productive that makes a player a bust

You're right, what I meant was a pick that didn't end up badly.

Not really. 11 points 8.5 boards, an assist and 2.3 blocks in 24 minutes is legit.

But he didn't stay healthy so ifso facto I'm your boss haha no but seriously if he can't stay healthy then he is bust, not because of his talent level, but because he cannot stay on the court. I still view that as a bust, especially since he was a number one pick. Or if he's not a bust we should make a term for injured players who had bright futures but couldn't maintain their health.

Oden is a bust to me because he was binge drinking while rehabbing and getting paid a fortune. His immaturity and poor sense of discipline made him reinjure himself over and over. You don't combine alcohol and bone repair..any doctor will tell you that.

You can't act like that at this level. You can't act like that at any level. I think the only reason no one hates him like Felton is because he played well while healthy, and atleast he didn't really talk sh*t about the city and team. He said it was boring for a young black man, but from what I here that's pretty true.

Oden was a bust. He only played in about 80 games in 3 years, and now he's not on our team anymore. That means his PICK was a bust, whether or not he becomes a productive NBA player for another team.

I completely agree with RC14 here, though. Our rookie history (at least recently) has been awful. 2 years ago we had Armon, Luke, Elliot, and CJ. Then add Nolan last year. Now compare that to Freeland, Barton, Claver, Leonard, all topped off with ROY Lillard... I'm pretty happy with Neil Olshey right now.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
