I just saw that he was waived last night at 10pm, and I already assume that a number of teams will put in claims to his rights, but would this be a move that would help portland? Who would you cut?

i think he´s going to Houston, that´s why there was a buyout...

And it doesnt make much sense trying to get him, since Maynor arrived here not long time ago...

I'm not a fan of bringing him to Portland. Brooks is a headcase, plays no defense, doesn't share the ball and can't stick with a team for those reasons. He refused to enter a game for Adelman and got traded almost immediately, was suspended twice when he played for the Ducks. Marbury dropped 50 pts on Brooks in the Chinese title game and Marbury is old. No thanks! Houston dumped him off on Phoenix, why would they want him back?

The Kings chose to buy out Brooks' contract, as Nuno said.  I wouldn't be opposed to dropping Nolan and replacing him with Brooks.  Ran in to the Oregon alum at a Duck game, and while graciously signing an autograph for my son actually told him he would "love to be a Blazer".  Question is, would he be happy backing Dame without a forseeable chance to start, barring injury ofcourse.

Unnecessary, to be honest. He is a player who would expect a contract that exceeds that of a 3rd PG.

And I don't think there's a point in trying to push Maynor, whom I believe is the better leader as a PG on the floor, to the bench for less minutes than 12.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have waived forward Josh Selby, Cavaliers General Manager Chris Grant announced today from Cleveland . This kid can shoot the rock. I dont know why he hasnt been able to keep a home though. If his issues are small,im sure  Stotts can get the best out of him.

He can put up points and we need the bench to score, so why not run him and Maynor and play small ball.

Get his rights assign him to D LEague to learn defense. Do this as insurance if the Blazers cannot sign Maynor in the off season.

They play even less defense in the D league, guys there jack shots up at every chance to pad their stats. Brooks would make more going back to China than in the D league and after 4 years of college and 3 pro teams, he's not going to change his habits anytime soon. Bottom line is we don't need Brooks in Portland and he's not cheap.

You think Sacramento will trade 2014 1st rd pick for our 10th pick? That will for sure give us a nice lottery pick next year, then trade the lottery pick and a vet either Matthews or Batum for the number 1 pick in 2014, yup, you guess it, Andrew W...

I love the Grit and Grind, and I love the Spurs timeless play. I think if the Spurs get to the finals, they will beat the heat, but they won''t beat the Grizzlies easily, and the Grizz can''t beat the Heat. I know it''s weird.
