Will the Blazers really turn it around or are we just getting our hopes up again for disappointment?

    Will the Blazers really turn it around or are we just getting our hopes up again for disappointment? Now this is the big question. We need a Quality GM (enough though Buchannan has done a great job). Plus the Quality of coach we can depend on thats got it all like we had in McMillian, Adelman and Ramsey, back when they coached the Blazers.



    Blazers need to be aggressive in the 2012 Draft just like they were in the Brandon Roy era. Thats how we aquired Brandon after all. So the top for picks the Blazers should go after. Andre Drummond, Jeremy Lamb, Jared Sullinger and Kendall Marshall.

    But Blazers need to keep its Core: Lamarcus Aldridge and Nicolas Batum and J.J. Hickson. The rest the Blazers are optional trade value. I really like Wesley Matthews, But he needs to become more Consistant as does Batum. But Batum has so much upside he is worth keeping.

    Plus there is the possibly come-back of Brandon Roy from Retirement. Now Blazer fans we know what this ultimately means. The Lakers are looking at Brandon. We cant let Roy slip out of our Fingers. Come back to Rip City Brandon Roy!! Lets all start the Brandon Roy Come back to Rip City Movement!!



    Imagine the starting 5 for 2012:



    PG: Kendall Marshall/Jeremy Lamb

    SG: Brandon Roy

    SF: Nicholas Batum/J.J. Hickson

    PG: Larmacus Aldridge

    C: Andre Drummond/Jared Sullinger



    6th Man: J.J. Hickson/Nicholas Batum



    Now this is something seriously you can build from in Rip City!!

    Brandon can't play with us until 2015 or so even if he does come out of retirement now. It's part of the amnesty clause rule. And do you have 4 of the players available for this draft in there? You know we only get one player per pick right? And even if it were possible to get all four why waste the 20 million dollars in cap space we have without getting at least one free agent which would take one of the PG or Center spaces for sure. Sorry bro, but none of what you said is even possible, let alone smart.

    Define turn it around if that means win a championship then not likely to happen without major major changes.

    Id love to see Brandon play overseas for a few years, and in 2015, when we can actually sign him, we will know how he has faired playing against the Euro market. Drummond would be a nice pick up. Harrison barnes also. If we get the two picks we want, does that mean that we'll still have the $24 mil or whatever it is available to entice a pg to come here ?

    Thanks Ricky.   I''ll be watching @ 10.   Haven''t seen enough right hand from Shazamm.   Without the ability to take his defender either way off the bounce, let alone finish at the cup with either hand?   Second rounder at best.
