Kyle Lowry and coach Kevin McHale have reportedly not been getting along very well, which brings up the question of if Lowry or McHale will stay. I think McHale will stay because remember, they still can sign Goran Dragic. Dragic is a starting caliber point gaurd, and as we all know, is one of the main targets if not THE main target this offseason for the Blazers. If Dragic decides to resign with the Rockets, Lowry will be out for sure. In comes Portland for the second Houston point gaurd. I saw the insider article on ESPN about this conflict, and both Portland and Los Angeles (Lakers) were tagged in the article as possible suitors for Lowry. Thoughts?

He has the outside scoring which could help a lot. However this conflict in Houston gives glaring signs to a player who might turn into a headcase. We don't want another Rudy Fernandez situation.

I value both Lowry and Dragic about the same. Both are up and coming, young All-Star point guards who would easily be the best floor general we've had since Rod Strickland in the mid-90s. But, we would have to TRADE for Lowry when we can just flat out sign Goran Dragic who is an unrestricted free agent. Now if Houston is willing to to a deal around Nolan Smith and Wesley Matthews + a 2nd round pick for Lowry, then I do that deal yesterday. But I don't think I'd be comfortable dealing a lottery pick for him when we can just sign one a couple of weeks later.

Trade Matthews, Smith, #41 for Lowry and #14. Draft Beal, Jones, and Leonard or Melo in the 1st round, then Sign Batum, JJ and Illasova. If we keep #40 we should look for Sims in round 2.

Why does everyone want to trade W. Matthews? Matthews has what we want, he wants to win, he hates losing, does whatever it takes to win, and he is the perfect mentor on and off the court. A young player would be stupid not to look up to him, his work ethic a lone is unbelievable. I hope he stays a Blazer forever! Let Matthews continue to work with Nolan Smith and I'm positive we will all love the results.

I totally agree, Wesley Matthews is the best defender we got and has the best work ethic of any Blazer. He struggled for the first 3/4 of the season last year but never gave up like all the others.

I haven't even come close to giving up on him and would be disapointed if he was traded.

the reason I would chose to  trade matthews is because he is a player that needs touches- and to play as the primary option- he does not have the skill of a first option (gordon would be a better option if we wanted to play with our sg as a first option) on the other hand- batum and e-will are both better in catch and shoot positions , and fast break - so getting rid of matthews would be easy if you already have 2 sg that play better as a 3rd option and are better fit to be the third option

Now on subject- lowry is good; however, we should be careful because he has not been the same since his injury

Please say NO to Kyle Lowry, Memphis got rid of him because he isn't better then Mike Conley and if we are going to invest in a point guard he has to be at least as good or better then M. Conley. Say NO to Kyle Lowry!

Lowry is a much better defender than Dragic so I would not mind seeing him come depending on salary requirements.

I am not a big Kyle Lowry fan.  So I would say no to trading for Kyle.

Not DPOY. All American. Player of the year in his conference twice. Past four years, McCollum, Muscala, McCollum, Muscala.

@RipCity I like the Nick Young/Randy Foye idea indeed, could be able to get Foye for 2mil per season

sign Iggy for 8-9M, Batum at the two, and Wesley off the bench! Draft Steven Adams (who loves contact, grew up playing rug-bee). Sounds NICE!

Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
