    LOOK AT THE POLL RESULTS
    Published: Tuesday, May 22, 2012, 7:00 AM

We continue the 2012 You be the GM series with a look at the Portland Trail Blazers front office and team president Larry Miller.

As president of the Trail Blazers, Larry Miller is responsible for all aspects of the organization’s business portfolio, including all team business and basketball activities, and the Rose Quarter. He reports directly to owner Paul Allen. In an interview with Ben Golliver of Blazersedge.com, Miller credits the autonomy afforded to him by Allen that's allowed him to hold the position since 2007.
In a lot of cases, because of how Paul gives me the autonomy to do things here, I'm the guy who is making the final decisions on a lot of things that go on here. Whether it's business things or basketball things.
Among those basketball things is heading up the search for a new general manager, along with Blazers' head of the board of directors, Bert Kolde. The Blazers GM position has been vacant for 364 days. Miller also led the previous search that ended with the Blazers hiring Rich Cho in July of 2010, a stint that lasted less than a year.

Over that time period, Miller has teamed with interim GM Chad Buchanan and salary cap analyst Joe Cronin to conduct the 2011 NBA draft, free agent signings and NBA trade deadline moves. Miller was also involved in the decision to fire head coach Nate McMillan.

Following interviews in February when he said he felt "pretty good about where we are", despite a rocky 18-16 start to the season, and that the team was "not in a rebuilding phase", Miller said the franchise is "dreaming big" when it comes to offseason moves.

"We have positioned ourselves to compete for those big-name players," Miller told The Oregonian's Jason Quick in April. "And this is a strong draft. Whether we trade our picks, or use our picks, we are going to get better going into next season."

You decide: Are you happy with Larry Miller's leadership, or is he merely a front man for Paul Allen and Bert Kolde? How big of an impact, if any, has Miller had on the direction of this franchise? Cast your vote and post your comments on why Larry Miller should stay or go.

I think Miller is a control person.  He wants to make the decisions and will use his position to accomplish that.  I personally would not want Miller with this kind of control.

I am hearing more about the orlando positions and the Bobcats position than I am about the Blazers position.  Does this mean no news is good news?  I doubt it.

I still say Buchanan and Canales will be the GM & Coach at the start of the season.

I watched Shabazz at the combine and he was a poor shooter.  In fact he did  so bad he did not even show up for drills in day two.  He may be a scorer not a shooter.  If he throws up enough shots he scores.  If someone looks a...

I would agree LMA is a decent defender but his help defense and team defense needs a lot of work. It is in these areas that Bosh really separates himself from LMA and it is because of that he is a better player than LMA despite not putting the sam...

I was looking at some shooting stats and came across a very very alarming stat. LMA was the league leader in FGA from 16-23 feet. Not only was he the leader he was lead by a mile. His 7.3 attempts from this distance easily outpaced Demar Derozan w...

Sug I would start with him outscoring Wesley Matthews. He also needs to get his FTA up and his FG% up and cut down the turnovers.

His defense was decent last year but not that good as he is either too weak or just unwil...
