Quick: LaMarcus Aldridge Discusses Teammates' Discontent

Jason Quick of The Oregonian got Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge to open up about the discontent his teammates felt during the 2011-2012 season .
    -------------------------------
"And to me, (Felton) was like, 'I'm with you.' So the stuff you are saying I should have done, I did. But they are like, 'Oh yeah, oh yeah,' then it was like you say: They go in their little corner and they are like, 'Yeah, whatever.' I don't know what they are saying, but they are probably saying that they told me this, but they are going to do something else. I even challenged 'Mal (Crawford). I was like, 'I know you aren't playing (shooting guard), but just play basketball. You love basketball; just play.'"

Aldridge said many on the team blew him off and ignored his message because, as the franchise player, he was getting all the playing time he wanted, all the shots he wanted.

"They wanted comfort from guys who are in misery like them ...," Aldridge said. "I'm going to them and trying to talk to them, but they were blowing me off. They are like, 'What do you know about this?' They had something against (McMillan), and you know how it is when you have a grudge, and there's a guy getting everything he wants? You are not going to listen to him. That's how it was."

I am a fan of JJ the Double Double Beast.

thanks for the story, I'm not so disappointed in aldridge anymore, at least he was getting on the guys. he can't force them to listen, but at least he tried, that's more than can be said for most of the players on the roster.

Blame Hollywood all the time on TV I see women like Nikita beating up men, even elite fighting men.

Potential out weighs them all are you serious OJ Mayo has more potential than Batum, then you add in what Landry and Barnes provide plus whatever 2 first round picks offer and it is not even close.

Cmeese, actually Nico is kinda aggressive. He is always arguing with the refs. Not in his play though.

You guys know how I feel about that. Thompson would be great, but not for LMA. Your deal is actually pretty solid and has a decent chance of happening compared to others, but Olshey has said LMA ain''t going  anywhere.

Wow. Omg. Sh*tsicle. I do not know, how I forgot about Tim Duncan. The guys is actually one of my favourite players. Brain fart. I was thinking about how San Antonio plays as a team and everybody chips in and I forgot about Timmy. I apologize to t...

Wow some serious high hopes for JJ there.

@Cailin Isn''t a little ironic that the Heat are on pace to win a second straight NBA title despite being the worst rebounding team statistically in the NBA this season.

I would trade the pick, the team is in rebuild mode and I am not sure Burke is the guy I really want on my team. Since my team needs a PG a PF and maybe a SG depending on how they feel about Afflalo still.

Right now, the most realistic is Asik. If Houston pursue D12, sign and trade JJ and a couple second round picks, maybe Joel Freeland or somebody for Asik.
