Our season of watching our team may be done (mine was awhile ago.  I refuse to watch quitters), but there is still an NBA Championship to be won.   Who will win it?  What teams are you interested in watching?  Who will win the first round matchups?

Let's discuss it here!  Matchups are...

    WEST
    1 Spurs v. 8 Utah
    2 Thunder v. 7 Mavericks
    3 Lakers v. 6 Nuggets
    4 Grizzlies v. 5 Clippers

    1 Bulls v. 8 76ers
    2 Heat v. 7 Knicks
    3 Indiana v. 6 Magic
    4 Hawks v. 5 Celtics

Personally I am going to be watching all of them when I can.  I love basketball too much to quit with the Blazers.  I'll be rooting for the Spurs.  Half my family has the Spurs as their 2nd favorite team.  I'm one of them.   I'd like them to win.  If not them, than Memphis.  On the East, I'll root for Indiana and the Heat.

I have Spurs, Mavs, Memphis, and Lakers winning the first round
I have Mavs and Spurs winning the 2nd round
    Spurs winning the West

In the East, I have Bulls, Heat, Indiana, and Boston winning the 1st round
Bulls and Heat winning second round
    Heat winning East

    Spurs winning the title

The Spurs is also my second favorite team. Love their basketball philosophy and tradition. Love the non-flashy, fundamentally sound (superb) style. I, too, will be rooting for them (+1 for Pat Stacks - loved his 'On the streets' videos!) to win it all, and I'd also like to see Memphis make a deep playoff run like they did last year.

I don't see the Mavs going to the Western Conference Finals as I'm convinced that OKC will take care of them in the 1st round; the Mavs have looked off pretty much throughout the season and obviously the Lamar Odom experiment hurt them more than it helped. However, if they do beat OKC in the 1st round, I would agree that they'd go past the 2nd as well. That goes for OKC, too, in my mind; I think whoever wins the Lakers/Nuggets series will go on to lose the 2nd round.

In the east I'm rooting for the Bulls and Celtics.

Derrick Rose tore his ACL in an injury that looked all-too-familiar to Oden's in 09 vs Houston

Breaking news: Bulls guard Derrick Rose tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) and he is out for the remainder of the season.

right now im rooting spurs for patty, indiana for pendergraph, and memphis for dante and zbo. zbo doing pushups last night after blake clearly tried to injure him was awesome, i really wish they would have won that game im sick of griffon getting away with all his cheap fouls. the thing i like about memphis is the way they move without the ball and pass to eachother, too bad the blazers don't put out effort like that or i'd be rooting for them in the playoffs.

This might be a sin for a Blazer fan, but I want to see OKC win it all, but the spurs might find their way to another Title. Just anybody but the Lakers or the heat.

OKC to me is all hype im tired of the babied jersey sale teams like miami, new york, okc, lakers, clippers. i'd rather see spurs memphis indiana, or philly at least they win by working hard not getting special calls. heck, as much as i hate them, i'd rather see a dallas repeat over OKC or lakers or clippers.

Lots of injuries so far this post season that is sad to see. I will be cheering for Memphis, Boston and Kobe for now but if something more interesting appears they will likely get my attention.

These playoffs have been terrible. Losing Howard and Rose was bad enough, but the only every series seems over except the Memphis/LA one. The East is just brutal to watch, because you know the Heat have a cakewalk to the NBA finals. I'm hoping either the Grizz or Spurs take it all this year. Anyone, just anyone, other then LAL, OKC, or MIA.

I'd be going insane if I were a Grizzlies fan. They should be up 3-0, instead they are down 1-2 and looking a must-win game tonight in Los Angeles. Anyone else see the Nuggets/Lakers game last night? I know we all miss Andre, but his performance last night was why I was OK in trading him. For a pass-first, point guard with a hit-or-miss jump shot, Dre sure took a lot of shots in the 4th quarter last night, and most of them were tough. I saw him do quite a bit of there here as well. Now, he could have been trying to carry his team, but if I'm a Denver fan, I want Gallo, AA, Lawson, or Harrington looking to score first.

Miller just destroyed the Lakers and helped give the Nuggets a chance in this series. It was a JaVale McGee dunkathon.

Nuggets just punched the Lakers in the mouth at the beginning of Game 6 and LA just crawled into the fetal position for the rest of the game. How sweet would that be for the Nuggz to storm back from down 3-1 to take the series? BEATLA!

Both L.A. teams went the distance and won split decisions. Good efforts by the Grizzlies and Nuggets, both teams showed a lotta heart against the talent loaded Los Angeles brigade.

Spurs are in total BEASTMODE right now. I just don't see anyone stopping that runaway train. As for the Pacers...well they blew it. They had a chance to go up 3-1 with a Game 4 win at HOME, yet they failed to get it done and now must win another game in Miami to take the series which just won't happen.

the more I watch griffin the more I want to throw up. Half his gameplay is flopping on the floor to get the foul. Duncan treated him like a catholic schoolgirl in game 2 and totally got in his head. That being said if he trains and works on his outside shot and stops flopping on the floor like an epilectic every offensive play he will be pretty good.

I do not see the Lakers beating the Sonics 3 more games. Sonics Spurs ought to be a hell of a matchup.

HAD the Pacers beat the Heat in game 4 and went up 3-1 they might have taken the series as it stands right now they could not stop the bron and wade show, we will see if they got the comeback in them.

OH and good luck to us trying to get Hibbert I think just about everyone who can will make a play for him.

We could possibly take McCollum with the 10th pick and trade him to the kings for Marcus Thornton. I would personally prefer if we kept McCollum because he can give us scoring off the bench and he will bring that maturity of having been in college...

Pat Riley said this: You get rebounds, you win rings!!! More often than not, the team who wins the battle on the boards will win the game. Rebounds on both ends are extremely important.

What happens if we don''t win? Dwight will start his nonsense, we would be out a lot of money, and with no real talent to show for it. San Antonio and Memphis is proof that you don''t need superstars to win.
