I hear Chicago just waived him, I don't know if we even could grab him but should we if we can? I love our team chemistry and wouldn't want to ruin it for anyone especially Bynum but in your opinion would this be a viable pick up??

I completely think this is a viable pick up. This is a low risk and high reward situation. We pay him a minimum salary because he is coming off of waivers and then we would have Lopez and Bynum!! I hear your point about "chemistry" and I do realize that chemistry is a huge part of team success. How can you not take a shot at Bynum though, even if he sits on the bench. I can almost guarantee he will play harder for a team that actually has a shot at the title.

I feel like we offer him the best situation to fit his needs with a new team. He stated he is looking for 1.) Playing time  2.) Chance for Playoff Success 3.) Money. First off, we do have a starting center in Lopez, but he has a much lower ceiling than Bynum. It would be a low pressure situation for him where he has a chance to become the starter very quickly if he performs at his best. In Miami or LAC he would have strong competition at the center position. Second, we are currently right at the top of the conference in the west and we truly have a special team this year. With the addition of a producing Bynum, we have a deadly team. Our team is young and versatile which will help us in case Bynum does suffer another major injury. The beauty of picking up Bynum at this point in time is even if he does get injured we still have a deep team and will be fine. Third thing he is searching for is money. Teams like the Heat, Clippers, Knicks, and Nets really can't offer much there. We on the other hand can move some parts around to clear a little bit more space for him salary wise. I also don't see Paul Allen having an issue going over the cap if it means putting together a true title contender for a couple years to come.

I realize there are a lot of place where Bynum can go and help out teams, but in my opinion the Blazers have a great environment for him to thrive. Again the fact that he can be had for so cheap makes it a no brainer to go and try to get him. Hopefully Neil Olshey works his magic and brings in this big lug!

There really aren't any people on here now a days talking about the Blazers. When we are playing bad everyone wants to fix them and talk about our negatives. When we are playing well no one wants to talk about the positives, improvements, or future of the Blazers...

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right now I feel like Freeland is more of a PF, and he actually is more consistent than Robinson on both ends of the court. Maybe package up a couple players like Leonard, Robinson, Barton, Claver, and/or Watson to bring in a solid and legitimate Center to play either ahead of Lopez or behind him. Right now I am loving Lopez in the middle. I just want some help at back up Center and maybe another legit SF for when Wright is having an off night. Ragarless I do love all the blazers we have on the team right now and I will not be mad if we keep this team for the season. However I did hear rumbles that we might be active before the trade deadline.. soo we will see...

Paul Allen said how do we get better?  I see no activity in the draft with no draft picks.  The trade possibilities are limited because of the value of our bench players.  We have no cap space.  So I think the improvement of our b...

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
