To all who were high on Shabazz Muhammad and thought we should draft that kid, we forgive you for your lack of character judgement.

Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Shabazz Muhammad has been sent home from the NBA's Rookie Transition Program "for violating of a rule and bringing a female guest into his hotel room," USA TODAY Sports's Jeff Zillgitt reported Wednesday, citing an anonymous source familiar with the situation:

Muhammad, who also will be fined, was in Florham Park, N.J. for the four-day program which helps rookies transition into the league through a series of seminars, instructions and guest speakers. [...]

Just hours before Muhammad was sent home, players were given the rules for the program, which included no guests unless approved by program administrators.

Muhammad, the No. 14 pick in the draft, will have to return next summer and complete the program with the 2014 draft class and others who have not yet attended.

I think it's a bit deeper then just bringing a woman into the room. Yes it's minor but how hard is it to wait the couple of days until you are on your own. If he can't obey that rule, I can't imagine him listening to much really.

im with you guys on the sarcasm but i think the point was that when he was scouted he was pretty cocky and had an ego, even for an nba player and while this may not be a big deal, (it was only 4 days) he doesn't seem very coachable and i think that's what they were worried about. gms have to worry about thinks like team chemistry or he may have been drafted higher. not a good sign for a front office.

Yeah he violated a rule, but it's not like it was some huge thing. For all any of the articles say (that I've seen), this very well could have been a sister/mother as much as some other relation, which is what alot of people seem to be implying.

But the bigger issue is definitely the coachability and the discipline; no matter how good he is now, he'll be better quicker if he can take instruction, and this doesn't bode well for that.

Then again... one of the few details I heard about this was that the rookies were only given the "rule book" for the weekend within an HOUR of Shabazz being ejected! He very well might not have even read through the whole thing yet, or been aware of this particular rule whatsoever, and had a local friend come to visit him, and boom, he's now the target of criticism without context.

I wondered how likely it was he was unknowingly violating the rule before he was aware of camp rules. So thanks for that tidbit 247.

I certainly do think it's important to note even these minor indiscretions among players. At the same time, "uncoachable" is a pretty strong accusation for a kid who had a visitor in his dorm room.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
