Surely you jest.  I always felt a greater affinity towards Tim Robbins from the Shawshank Redemption.  Handsom man, that one.  English was my least favorite subject.  I clearly struggle just to communicate with other english speaking life forms.

Howard is a solid player but Lebron is the best in the world followed closely by Durant. However, out of the leagues top ten players Howard is probably the only one available.

    LeBron + Wade + Cole + Pittman

    for

    Aldridge + Matthews + Hickson + Lillard + Freeland + Leonard + Babbit

IT WORKS!  Portland doesn't even have to even trade Hickson if they did a S&T with Babbitt.  Can't believe Paul Allen hasn't done this yet.  DO IT!

Idk...with the recent spousal abuse allegations Wade has faced, not sure he fits the culture here.  He tends to be injury prone as well, and is very possibly on the downside of his career.  Can't we just take Bron and tell 'em to keep the rest?

My idea of John Wall and Nene for LA and Nolan Smith was simply an example of a trade that I personally would take if the blazers were given the chance. That is if John Wall was healthy and back to form. Trade talk isn't just about getting rid of players and getting new ones. It brings to the table what type of players this team would most likely need in order to make them better and improve their chances. Be sarcastic and "witty" as much as you would like but this is a forum about the team and every aspect of the game is to be discussed. Sure, we could talk some more about how Luke hasn't lived up to his expectations or how Batum is thought to be inconsistent, yet trades and movement of players is also a component of the game. Reality is what you make it and anything is possible in the league called the NBA. I highly doubt that many Jazz fans thought DWill would be traded away right? He was the star. The franchise. The leader. Yes he had his qualms but that doesn't take away the fact that everyone loved him and he was the face of the franchise. Trades are part of the game. Its what you referred to as reality.

OLSHEY I want to be an apprentice GM or part of the Scouting Coach Staff. Pleaseeeee.

As a GM this is my team and these guys aren't tradeable for various reasons. The whole team right now is filled with players who play the game with respect and honor. There are no bad attitudes in this group and the team is ridiculously young and talented. If I'm trading players who possess these attributes I want to receive players who have similar attributes and work ethics.

    Starters

PG: Lillard. You don't give up a ROTY and Allstar. Already a top 10 PG in the league watch out for next year when he makes it in the top 5.

SG: Matthews. A loyal dedicated player who improves year after year. Loyalty is rare in professional sports and is a valued asset. Keep him happy and you don't have to worry about him leaving. He can start and come off the bench, he's part of the 10 man rotation for 7 years easily.

SF: Batum. The team challenged him to step up his game and leadership. He responded well. His yearly improvement and upside have no equal in the league for his position.

PF: Aldridge. Picked high in the draft when the Trailblazers were rebuilding with the intention of him being the starting PF for a dynasty team. He hasn't disappointed and went from the 3rd option (Roy, Oden) on that failed dynasty roster to the 1st option. He matured and developed faster due to the departures of Roy and Oden. His rebounds could improve a bit but he's on a team with Batum and Hickson who grab alot of boards. What other young PF in the league possesses a game like his? K-Love doesn't, he can't defend and his post game isn't impressive. I would say Aldridge's game reminds me alot of Tim Duncan.

C: Hickson. A combo C/PF who hustles. Hustles. And Hustles. Former Trailblazers he reminds me of are Buck Williams and Brian Grant who both played out of position at times. He's only got better with repetition and he's another loyal player who found a home in Portland with the Trailblazer fans/family.

    Bench

G: Will Barton. Barton has a very similar game to Elliot Williams, imagine that since they both came from Memphis. Barton is coming along as a rookie with his limited playing time. He has shown valuable SG slashing abilities and deserves a roster spot next year.

F: Luke Babbitt. Former WAC player of the year and for a good reason. He can score and rebound well for the SF position and surprisingly can bang around with the PFs with his nose to chest gritty defense. All playoff and title contenders have to have a sharpshooter on their team and Babbitt is the Trailblazers deadeye. Some may argue about Lillard, Matthews, and Batum being able to do that job, which they can as well. Babbitt is just that much better of a shooter than the previous 3 mentioned. Easily apart of the 10 man rotation for 7 years.

C: Meyers Leonard. You can't teach size and the kid has true C size. He has a fearless attitude and doesn't mind hustling and getting dirty down low. He makes Dwight Howard look like a child and Leonard is only 20. Give him 2 years of training to get that grown man strength and he's a beast to be reckoned with. Oh and he can shoot freethrows. He is not starter material this year, but will be a contributing player next year for sure.

    Questionables for the right deal

F: Pavlovic. Adds a nice veteran voice in the locker room as well as experience. Doesn't mind coming off the bench and is ready to go when he does. In a deep rotation he fills it nicely with his shooting expertise.

F: Jeffries. Adds a nice veteran voice in the locker room as well as experience. Doesn't mind coming off the bench and is ready to go when he does. As a backup he does what Kurt Thomas did last year. Fill the lane, take charges, and is a pest to opposing bigmen.

    Unsures

F: Claver. Not enough playing time at the NBA level to evaluate what to do with him.

F: Freeland. Not enough playing time at the NBA level to evaluate what to do with him.

    Tradeable

G: Ronnie Price. He was supposed to come in and give a challenge to Smith for the backup PG position. Instead, his play is similar to Smith's and is content on sharing the 3rd string PG role.

G: Nolan Smith. Is a blue collar classy player who worked well in the Duke system. At best he is a backup PG but hasn't got over the hump of being a 3rd string PG.

    G. Elliot Williams. Has shown hints of being a solid backup SG but has been injury prone and the Elliot Williams experiment is over and its time to part ways. Would love to see him go to another team and be a successful backup because he is capable of that.

    Who to trade for?

2nd String PG: The Trailblazers need a backup for Lillard in case he fouls out or has to sit because of injury. A PG who knows that he is a backup and doesn't mind his role with the team but is capable of starting if called upon. Double points for a backup PG who can fill in backup SG minutes. Currently the Trailblazers can't say they have that player. If possible a player under 10 years of experience who fits the style and attitude of the Trailblazer team.

Luke Ridnour. The Timberwolves have an excess of PGs and somebody is ready to be traded. With the quick transition to the NBA game of Alexy Schved and Ricky Rubio's continued stellar play they are the future of that organization. The team will keep a good 3rd string PG but they will have to choose between Ridnour and Barea. Both can also play as backup SG to relieve Matthews while Barton continues to develop.

JJ Barea.

Nate Robinson. As soon as Rose comes back Robinson becomes expendable. I think Chicago sees Robinson is expendable and not Hinrich. Nate Robinson's heart and work ethic speak for themselves.

Other potential backup PGs who aren't a farfetched pipedream. Jarrett Jack, Patty Mills, Devin Harris, Norris Cole, Steve Blake, DJ Augustin, and Chris Duhon.

2nd String PF/C: None of the upcoming young Euro big men are touchable without giving up something. That list is Gortat, Vucevic, Asik, and Pekovic. The Trailblazers don't want to invest in a overpriced aging big man, or overrated big man. So cross off most starting PF/C, current Allstar PF/C, and former Allstar PF/C in the league. So who fits the the Trailblazers needs?

Anderson Varejao which I think Cleveland would give up for draft picks because of the development of Tristan Thompson at the PF and Alonzo Gee at SF. Varejao would fill the void for the bench rebounds and is a pest for constantly taking charges.

Greg Stiemsma. The Timberwolves love to trade with division rivals for some reason. The have a loaded frontcourt with Derrick Williams, Kevin Love, Nikola Pekovic, Andrei Kirilenko, and Chase Budinger that I think they would be willing to let go of the young blocking machine Greg Stiemsma.

Marreese Speights.  Is another player who has potential that hasn't found solid rotation minutes with his team and I would think he would be willing to play minutes behind Hickson and Aldridge. Memphis will have to choose between Darrell Arthur and Marreese Speights to keep and my bet is they will keep Arthur and let Speights go for something.

Carl Landry. If Andrew Bogut ever gets healthy enough to play Carl Landry is expendable. Landry fits in because of his selfless style of play and his work ethic.

Chuck Hayes. Similar play as Carl Landry and would be a good fit coming off the bench. Cousins and Thompson are the Sacramento Kings future frontcourt and they might be willing to let Hayes go for draftpicks to help the rebuilding effort.

    - I want a chance at a scout/coaching job with the Trailblazers.

Why waste time and money on a primadonna who already selfishly left a small market team to get his way? Seriously, why? Especially for a Center who has no post moves besides dunking, and hasn't even bothered on developing his game for the future when he won't be able to dunk any more. At least Amare developed a 10 foot jumpshot but even that doesn't matter when your knees are shot and can't run up and down the floor. Dwight Howard is overrated.

Three guys who I think will be affordable and contribute as upgrades to our bench. Eric Maynor, JJ Reddick and Paul Millsap. I'd like Pekovic but he's going to get big bucks next season.

I like Reddick and Mayo (although dallas will be quick to resign) alot because they can play SG and PG, and we despirately need covered to fill in for Wes and/or Lillard.  Reddick isn't cheap though.

I think figuring out our center is the main priority.  Mozgov and Pek are the low and high end price at Center that I most like.

And then that leave Hickson... is there enough left over to sign him?  Outlook not good.

Orlando, whom I believe intends to blow it up this year, has a center Vujavic(SP?) that had 20+pts and 29 rebounds in a game recently. Got my attention! Pek is the game changer of the crop for sure. Perkins is going to move next season too.

Vucevic would be a great pick up but I think he and a couple others (Harkless, Nicholason, maybe Affalo, Moore) will be the last ones on the Magic

They would be IDIOTS to give up this22 year old 7 foot JJ Hickson

If Portland does decide to trade Hickson, I think this deal would be pretty good

    PHI GETS- JJ Hickson, Cunningham,

    POR GETS- Pekovic

MIN GETS- Barton, Nick Young, Dorrel Wright,  2 Portland Second Rounders

Philly gets a starting Power Forward, we get our Starting Center, Minnesota gets a young SG and some nice assets.

I think Blazers should try to find a 6th man to come off the bench and initiate offense.

Trades I would look at would be

Luke Babbit, and a second round pick for Marshon Brooks

Joel Freeland, Luke Babbit, Second Rounder for Gerald Henderson

Jarvis Varando got waived by Boston Celtics today

This guy was leading Dleague in Bloocks but since Fab Melo is playing great and Danny Ainge wants to explore trade options he let Jarvis V go

This guy can rebound and block shots, also he is sooooper athletic. He is 6'9 so I think he can come in and help out our frontcourt......i think we should sign him to a 10 day to see if he is better than Freeeland

Unless the deadline for singing 10 days or up or something...??

I´ve checking if theres are some free agent that we could use.

And i found Mike Bibby, an experient PG,  think he would do better then N. Smith or R. Price of the bench.

And a possible trade... Chicago has a lot of good guards and when rose starts playing (soon i think) they surely will be open to trade one of them, Nate Robinson or Marco Belinelli...

Howard is the last guy i want on our squad. And as of late,he has become as fragile as a year old Ritz cracker. My real issue with tat idiot is that he beieves himself to be bigger than the game. Not to mention, once his athletic ability deteriorates,he's not cerebral enough to remain in the league.

Id rather have Bibbys brother-in-law, Eddie House, before i take Mike. Hell,id  rather have Derek Fisher before i entertained the thought of Bibby.Id also take a hard look at Scott Machado, who i believe was recently waived by Houston. And wheres that kid who backed up Lillard in the summer league. Bost i think his name was.The little pg who was wreaking havoc.Id love to have a Darrin Colison style pg to back up Lillard. We just need to luck up on those L.Sanders, and Earl Clark type picks. The Terrence " hometown " Ross kids. A few beauiful choices like those and we'll be right as rain. After so many years of bad luck,we're bound for some some good fortune . Even if its just a  sprinkle like Lillard has been.

We are playing to be in the Playoffs, but we may need some bench players in order to get there and really fight for something! And to do it, we should make a few changes on the team.

    R. Price is improving in the last games, Leonard will also improve is game for sure, Barton, Claver and Freeland, still have much to learn and improve in order to be legit options of the bench but they are useful in the rotations and they wil improve as the season goes on.  Pavlovic and Jeffries give experience that the others dont have yet. And Babbit isnt playing much, but is a danger for the other teams to let him shot (3pts essencially), maybe the best bench player we have right now,

So that leaves N. Smith and E. Williams (injured), i would at least trade/waive Smith, to get a good guard to the bench.

Off course we could do a litle more to improve the team, but why change much a winning team? we should just add it a few pieces to make it stronger...

I think they are studying/watching carefully some players to see who are the ones worth to make a move, instead of making a quick move on anyone and then it doesnt work . And its good to see they keep the team stability instead of changing it all the time...

We cant make any sign, even a 10 day contract, if we have 15 players in the roster. isnt it right?

Cause he is a worse defender than Luke Babbitt and can no longer consistently hit his jump shot. He also has too many turnovers so really no benefit to having him on any team anymore.

At this point, i would have much rather had Cobi Karl than Nolan. I like Nolan, but Karl was a better decision maker when he played with us in the pre-season. We need a gutsy speedster like Collison or Bledsoe to be a pace changer coming off the bench behind Lillard. I like Price as maybe our third string, but we need more firepower than that to compliment D Lills game. Tony Allen off the bench behind Wesley would be superb.

I agree Price should be a 3rd option at PG... but we dont have a better one, and he is also improving in the last games. The roster is full, so any move either is a trade or someone need to leave first...

We could try to check some teams that have a bunch of guards, and they may be available to trade, Washington and Chicago, with the returns of Wall and Rose, have very interesting guards, there is one i would target, Belineli...

And there is some Free Agents, not much good ones, but maybe there is someone worth the chance.
