Until we start feeling that basketball buzz. The anticipation of the sound of Sneaks on the hardwood is uncontainable. Lillard !! Barton, who if the video i just watched is any indication of what we might see out of him, is sickening with the rock. Reminds me dare i say of J Cross. I dont want to go on about individuals, that'll take all day. I will say that im warming up to Stotts.Im swayed by the ring. Dont judge me. For the most part, Olshey hasnt disappointed me He hasnt  "wow'd " me yet either. Lillard,Leonard and Barton are a good start. Damn i loathe Greg Oden right now. But C'est Lavie. Look forward to such babble in the near future as the season grows near. Im going through the peak level of absketball withdrawals.
    41-41 season. Too optimistic ?

I hope for 60-22 or 22-60 mediocrity kills in modern sports, you don't win enough to make the playoffs and you don't lose enough to help your team through the draft.

Like you win or lose I can't wait to see our team in action.

Not sold on Barton.  The man is without a doubt, extremely talented...but barely tips the scales.  Skillset gets him to the goal, lack of weight will have him seeing a chiropractor by mid-season.  This is not the Y, and the zone he faced in college with little to no post rotation on penetration...all things of the past.  He will become acquainted with the Rose Garden floor, probably sooner rather than later.  This is why he slipped in the draft.  His ability to absorb contact while staying healthy, let alone getting the shot off, are questionable.  Hope I'm wrong.  The talent is there.

Besides Leonard, I am looking forward to seeing a combo I haven't yet seen mentioned...looking forward to gettin ILL, with the EWill/DLill tandem rockin the Garden together.  That combination will undoubtedly get play this upcoming season on SportsCenter's Top 10.  Look out Blake.

Ofcourse, like many, my eyes will also be on Mr. Contract and his new role and hopefully subsequent development.

Haha BDawg I love it... gettin ILL with EWill and DLill. They were looking for which nickname to use for Lillard, I say that's it just so we can use that phrasing in cheers/sound effects.

Yeah, I'm havin a good feeling about these guys. Hopefully they'll be killers this year, but if I have to watch 2-3 seasons of them growing into the power they're gonna be, so be it.

I'm gonna go ahead and hope for 82-0...

But 58-24 (our best since '00) would still feel nice!

DLill and EWill are both potential highlight machines... could be a fun combo to watch

Barton is skinny but so was Rip Hamelton and T Prince and they turned out ok.. Barton does a lot of dif things he doesn't just hang out on the perimeter, he plays passing lanes and likes to attack.  We have some talent fighting for those last few game jerseys.

Just coming from college and into the summer league you could see that Barton's size was making a difference in his game play. He was still able to penetrate but he could not finish. The bigger guys not normally there in college were affecting him big time. Just wait until he goes against real talent.

Barton's playing time will only be garbage time. There could be alot of garbage time this season however so he will get his chances to show.

I really hope that's not true, benh. It's the same reason Patty Mills and Luke Babbitt still look like rookies. If Barton goes an entire season without meaningful minutes, you've effectively wasted talent from your "talent acquisition engine." It's no coincidence that the rookies with big minutes thrive... coach's trust goes a long way with young players; and the great coaches give it to their players (e.g., Gregg Popovich and Kwahi Leonard... also 2nd-round picks like Parker and Ginobili). If Stotts rotates his players like Nate, and only plays Barton, Claver, and Babbitt in garbage time, he can expect to go down the same road as Nate: getting fired.

What I'm excited to see is structured offense (god knows we've needed it), and a fight on defense... let's hope at least. As long as the guys are playing the good, smart basketball that was sorely missing from last year's team, I don't give a flying rat's bumhole what the record is--barring 0-82 of course. Realistic prediction? 17-24 for the first half, 21-20 for the second. Final record of 38-44, probably about 10th in the West.

I don''t trust big men with a history of injury. Ibaka also weighs more than Noel, but you''re right, early days yet, he could bulk up. I am sure, that he will lose some of his speed and athleticism when he does though. Wasn''t that one of his bes...
