First thank you Spain, it was good to see some aggression out of Batum. Now on to the real issue after flopping their way to victory over France the Spanish look in line to play the US for the gold medal game. Of course they will have to defeat a tough Russian team to do but this flop happy team should do well against the aggressive Russians. Were the Spanish wrong in flopping constantly to draw calls? I hate flopping but honestly if you are not cheating you are not trying. The bigger issue were they cowards for losing on purpose to Brazil in order to avoid team USA until the gold medal game. If someone upsets the USA, Spain could win gold without playing the Americans and that is the smartest thing they could have done.

I say they are evil genius' who have more than earned a few low blows along the way.

It's no different than an NBA team tanking to get better positions in the draft. That's just going to be part of the game like it or not. So is flopping (we'll see how this impoves in the NBA with the new "cracking down on flopping" according to Stern). European basketball can be dirty at times it seems, we've seen several situations just in the olympics. I think Spain will lose to Russia anyway. Although I would love to see the US lay a beating on them.

Flopping needs to be outlawed. If you can't win by playing the game straight then why bother?

Maybe basketball should just force players to cut their hair short this would make it a lot harder for people to flop.

i've always hated pau gasol and rudy for their flops, it seems like when you get a bunch of spainyards together they just like to flop even more. what was more impressive about batum than the initial punch was grabbing onto calderon and thumbing his throat while the ref tried to subdue him. I hope he brings some attitude with him back to the states, we don't necessarily need punches thrown, but some dont back down let's get it done attitude would be nice. I saw the attitude in meyers and am rather excited about it especially since we lost joel.

The floppers have made it to the gold medal game looking pretty smart so far.

Their flopping was very beneficial in the tourney but ultimately they choked so it is good to know the bad guys lost

Noel will be just fine the problem with Roy and Oden was the Blazers training staff and doctors in Colorado. That dude is a complete hack. Blake Griffin, Tom Brady went to a doctor in LA and they look fine, Adrian Peterson went to the Andrews clin...

Yeah I never got that. You want to play at the 4, fine, but you can guard the centre. Also, did you guys know that DeJuan Blair is a 6"7 centre?

Henson will be solid down the road but his ceiling is more like Taj Gibson. He is a great role player but not elite like Sanders and Ibaka could be if people were not so willing to shoot on him.

Trade every pick we can to get a starting defensive Center.

Sanders better shotblocker, better dunker and around the rim, Asik better defensively. I think Asik will have the better career.

Well, I still think he won''t do great in his career. Seems weak.
