I know this has nothing to do with the blazers at all, but I wanted to hear your opinions on who will be the better team. I think to start, Brooklyn will get way more hype then the knicks, which  could be a good thing for the knicks. Who will finish with the better record?

    Knicks projected lineup:

    PG- Raymond Felton/ Jason Kidd

    SG- JR Smith

    SF- Carmelo Anthony

    PF- Amare Stoudemire

    C- Tyson Chandler

    Nets projected Lineup:

    PG- Deron Williams

    SG- Joe Johnson

    SF- Gerald Wallace

    PF- Kris Humphries

    C- Brook Lopez

The Knicks really screwed up this offseason. They had a potential gem in Jeremy Lin and let him go for 40-something Jason Kidd and Raymond Felton. Not only was Lin talented but he was unselfish and could have actually made it work with STAT & Melo. Throw in JR Smith coming back and I could see this Knicks team being the most volatile during this upcoming season.

The Nets are clearly better. They have a very good bench, with Brooks, Watson, Evans, Teletovic, and Bogans.
I like the Knicks addition of Camby and Thomas but their bench is still pretty shallow.

As far as Lin goes he is clearly overrated he can only dribble one direction and because of that turns the ball over a million times.

    Isn't Camby also in NY?

I hadn't noticed it before but looking at the Knicks roster makes me laugh, not cuz I think they'll be THAT bad but because it really represents the New York personality; almost every player from top to bottom has that attitude about themselves that's a blend of over-confidence/old-school baller/"i'll f*k you up if you mess with me"-type mentalities. I bet their locker room convos are just chains of one-upping each other :P

I think the Nets will finish better than the Knicks (not sayin much), but that being said, I'm betting the Nets are going to be a VERY streaky team.
I am a fan of BLAZER BASKETBALL. Not drafts, not business, not trades, not David Stern. Just BLAZER BASKETBALL.

Claver will make a great squad player when he develops his outside shot. His size is an asset because he can guard SF and stretch 4s. If he can be a better rebounder and add a post move to his game we could be looking at a possible answer to our f...

Oden was definitely the best pick coming out of high school and arguably ahead of Durant in the 2007 draft. But the draft is art not science and we really needed a dominant center at the time. If we can get Oden for a short term low-risk deal. Lik...

Paul Allen might sell the Blazers but the Blazers will never leave Rip City.
