7 seasons with the cavs. Finals in 07...swept. Mvp 2 times. Highest PPG season 05-06 31.4ppg.

2 Seasons with Miami. Finals Both seasons, Mvp 1 Time. Highest PPG season 11-12  27.1ppg

Ok the only people that can dislike Lebron James are Clevland fans. The rest of us...CMON! Seriously when you play basketball when it is you life you dont care about how many points you score, you care about winning. Lebron James left the Cavs because he wanted to win and at least have the chance to say he won a championship.

With Miami he obviously has a better chance and this year he will more than likely win it.

TO THOSE WHO SAY LEBRON IS NOT CLUTCH WITH MIAMI:

Look at the stats. In this years playoffs he averages 30 points, 5 assists and nearly 10 rebounds. Stop hating on Lebron because every night he steps on the court not only is he proving you wrong but also making you look like a fool. Lebron james in the words of steven a smith is "a freak of nature on both ends of the court"

    Hate is fueling lebron now.

When he wins the championship this year i bet he'll say..

    "thank you to the haters"

Listen to the statement between 4:45-4:53.

That's why people are "hatin'" on LeBron. Nobody questions his talent. But you have to question his class.

I think LBJ is by far the best overall player, compared to #8Kobe or anyone else in basketball, a freak of nature as it's been said... but that doesn't mean I can't hate on him.

I agree with you that it's not about how many points you score (everyone loves the star point guards, traditionally they're not leading the scoreboard for their team), and I agree that as a player you want to win, but as Pickett pointed out, it's not about Lebron leaving Cleveland... it's about HOW he left.

I believe that "The Decision" was a pivotal moment for modern NBA. While Cleveland may not have been King James' best chance at a quick championship, he had options that ranged from building in Cleveland, to leaving town with a classier spin and showing respect for the city and team that raised him in his early time. Instead he went ouside the box, choosing to spit on all of his local fans and everyone that backed him from Square1. There may have been other factors involving his mom, his teammates, his promotional crew, and/or his financing... but none of that changes jack squat about the choices that he made and the utter lack of class he showed.

On top of that, the context of rooting for Miami is pretty much the exact contrary of rooting for Portland...

Obviously the Heat are the new Lakers, but it's more than that. Miami represents the idea that the best basketball team is the one that buys the most star power. Any day of the week, I'll take the team that is better known for their smart team play, and the lack of holes in their roster when it comes to the commitment, focus, and awareness of their players. The Heat certainly can play well together, but Wade and LBJ do not. I'd be happy for Lebron to get his ring(s), but I don't think he's earned it this year.

On the other hand, I'm really not going to stand behind the Thunder. They've been handed everything... all of their draft picks turn gold, the entire frickackin franchise gets dropped in the lap of fans who've never shouldered a losing season... and for all of their success, they have yet to really suffer any setbacks, such as (knocking on wood) player injuries to their starters or stars (let alone multiple career-threatening freak-accident injuries to multiple starters in a single season).

Oklahoma's biggest obstacle (within the team that is) seems to be the childish ego-battles between Durant and Westbrook, and everyone knows who holds the bigger stick in that fight. Honestly, Westbrook will be amazing when he gets some years on him and sheds the entitlement thing. It will help his game and camera-personality GREATLY.

I'll enjoy watching the rest of the finals, and I hope each game is won by 2 baskets or less, up until the final game in the series, which should be won by double digits if not a 20+ blowout by the time the buzzer sounds. That way we get an exciting Finals but we still have a decisive winner, not a championship decided by flawed officiating and celebrity starpower influence.

After that, all that's left is getting the draft over with, so we can get back to the sport.

    GO BLAZERS.

I hate Lebron because he is disrespectful individual. I mean, not only did he have a one hour show on his decision on where to go, but he and his buddies spoke about how many titles they were going to win without playing a single game together. "Not one, not two, not three..." Don't forget his comment after he lost last years finals when he basically dissed every person that wasn't making the same amount of money as he was. I could probably list a lot more as well. He is a great player, yet when he opens his mouth, it usually something stupid and classless.

    firstly, excuse my french.
second, i dont hate lebron at all. the guy is a basketball player. its the media and fans who determine public opinion about an athlete and not necessarily the athlete. so the media can say whatever they want and the fan boys can yell as loud as they can about how foolish everybody else is for not worshiping him but at the end of the day its just opinions and just because you have one doesnt mean you know at all what you're talking about.

By the way, I'm having one more thought about Lebron: would his stats look as impressive if he were called for the fouls and travels that he commits every game?

I agree with pickett. How in the world does he only foul out once in his entire Heat career?

Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
