Wow, now with the two whiners gone Felton & Crawford, looking back was it a big mistake?

Nate is great with you talent - no doubt.  But for him to be a success in this league he needs to be open to new ideas and not be so stubborn in his game plan.

    Who knows?

Chris Haynes, CSNNW.com Trail Blazers Insider (@ChrisBHaynes)

UTAH – The Utah Jazz are fresh off of defeating the Portland Trail Blazers in a meaningless game that gave the Jazz their fifth consecutive victory before they head into postseason play against the top-seeded San Antonio Spurs on Sunday.

Known as a small market team, the Jazz have consistently been a playoff team throughout their existence. In fact, out of the Jazz's 29 seasons, they have gone to the playoffs 25 times.

That's impressive for a small market franchise.

Jazz's general manager Kevin O'Connor was asked on Wednesday by local media if the Jazz were in the same class as playoff perennial franchises such as the Pittsburg Steelers and the New York Yankees.

    O'Connor had this response:

"It's not there. We haven't won a championship. Those guys have. I think the key thing is that you try and be patient in an impatient world that you live in, and we live in an impatient world,” O'Connor told reporters.

The best example I have is Nate McMillan. All the success that he had up there (in Portland), dragging those teams through all the injuries and everything. He had two-and-a-half bad weeks and they fire him. I mean, that to me, I don't understand it. But that's, I guess, I shouldn't be in somebody else's business."

So it sounds as if O'Connor feels like Nate McMillan got a raw deal. Not often you hear an executive from another team, let alone a division rival, take up for a coach who was axed.

With the history these two teams have with one another, those comments were the last thing I would expect to hear come out of O'Connor's mouth. Have to give him credit for being blatantly honest, though.

A raw deal? The man was here for 7 years! I will admit that he dealt well with injuries but he was never willing to change up his game plan.

Flexibility is essential for a coach and Nate did lots of homework using scouting services to help develop game plans but when things changed he was not very good at making quick adjustment or managing playing time. Potential title contender to lottery team means he had to go whether it was his fault or not

We could possibly take McCollum with the 10th pick and trade him to the kings for Marcus Thornton. I would personally prefer if we kept McCollum because he can give us scoring off the bench and he will bring that maturity of having been in college...

Pat Riley said this: You get rebounds, you win rings!!! More often than not, the team who wins the battle on the boards will win the game. Rebounds on both ends are extremely important.

What happens if we don''t win? Dwight will start his nonsense, we would be out a lot of money, and with no real talent to show for it. San Antonio and Memphis is proof that you don''t need superstars to win.

You trolling Cmeese? I mean I hate how biased it is. If a woman slaps a man, people will probably be like what did that b*stard do, probably cheated on her, that pig. But if a man slaps a woman, even if it is completely justified, OMG abuse, 2013 ...

Special K, aren''t you a cereal? And yes, Batum is expensive, but I think he''s worth it. Why would you take someone who isn''t is as good, just for less money. Then why don''t we take the worst possible player and pay him the least possible amoun...
