I was clips from http://wn.com/Portland_Trail_Blazers_Past,_Present,_and_Future and it made me think of all the great Blazers we have had and I wanted to give a shout out to a few of my personal favorites.

Clyde Drexler- He is my favorite Blazer of all-time. I seriously considered leaving Rip City after he was traded. I just miss his majestic dunks and amazing half bald head. One of the 50 greatest players to ever play and I am privileged to watch him put on a Blazer uniform for so many years.

Brian Grant- Talk about your ultimate blue collar athlete, he was the Blazers version of Ben Wallace. I just loved how hard he played especially on defense. We would have never been in position for Stern to force the refs to screw us out of a title without him.

Rasheed Wallace- Say what you want about the guy, the man could flat out ball. He was an elite defender and unstoppable on the block, when he would actually stay there. I miss everything about him right down to his little bald spot and love of technical fouls.

Brandon Roy- God do I miss him, Roy had the best ball handling skills of any player I have ever seen. I miss his late game heroics, the fact that the guy could never be sped up and his leadership. May your knee RIP.

Scottie Pippen- I was never a Jordan guy, Pippen was always my cup of team with his amazing defense, powerful dunks and team first attitude. Pippen was the perfect guy to build a team around I am just sad that we only had him towards the end of career.

    Who do you miss?

    1) Rasheed Wallace - some got mad at his attitude, but every team needs that 1 person who will pick up a tech and fire up the crowd/team.

    2) Sabbis - a 7'3" who could drill a 3 and wow you with a behind the back pass? yes please.

    3) Jeff Pendergraph - he didnt get much playing time because Nate never played young guys, but they guy gave 220% effort and made people giving 110% look bad. my favorite was his prep talks pre game to the players, he really tried to feed the whole team energy.

    4) Patty Mills - he got like 3/10 top tens on espn the other night, but once again nate never played him. he was the ebst cheerleader and always gave max effort.

    5) Brian Grant - What's not to love? consistent big man who didn't take crap and most importantly, awesome hair.

Ex-Blazers who are still in the NBA
#1 - Travis Outlaw. Hands down. I got to meet him after a home game a few years back and he was the nicest guy. I loved his personality and the dude was clutch. He could miss 5 straight shots, but you knew that when he took the big one in the 4th, it was hitting nothing but net. I'd love to see him back in Portland and it's pretty obvious, he thrived in our system.

#2 - Jarrett Jack. I really never liked Jarrett all that much when he first got here. Then a lot of fans started ragging on him for turning it over. That's when I really started to like him. I kind of tend to go against the grain and stand up for those that the majority doesn't connect with. He was a great mid-range shooter, could finish in traffic, and played with such a passion.

#3 - Martell Webster. Cool guy. 3-Point specialist who turned into one of the best wing defenders in the league his last year in Portland. His downfall was consistency. He had one of the purest strokes in the league and when he was one, watch out. Just ask the Jazz in 2008. They know. They were at his mercy during his 24 point 3rd quarter barrage.

HM - Channing Frye. Portland. Channing was Portland. I've never seen another athlete embrace the city like he did. Would love to have the Chan-Man back in Rip City.

I can definitely agree with Drexler, Grant, and probably Sabonis.

While I liked them, Scottie Pippen and Steve Smith never really felt like Blazers to me, they had earned their names elsewhere and came to Portland just to play some pick-up ball (and yes losing the conference finals was pick-up ball for those two).

And finally, one name I can't believe hasn't surfaced yet: Mighty Mouse! I'm especially appalled that Patty Mills' name came up before Stoudamire's. Don't deny he was fun to watch in action.

Damon was fun but I guess I just didn't appreciate him as much as I should or could have.

I am dating myself but I miss Bobby Gross and his work ethic and lack of fear in the paint.  That is why I like JJ so much he plays the same way.

although I do think that eraser head haircut is a little rediculous and outdated but none the less kid could either be huge or a complete bust and at this point if we had that number 1 pick I wouldn''t pass on him then I''d go out and get someone ...

Rip a cap hold is a number given to free agents. Basically the cap hold is added to the teams salaries at the start of free agency. So for example a team has 10 million in cap space but has 15 million in cap holds they are technically over the sal...

Noel was playing at around 220 so I doubt the added weight will slow him down too much the guy just needs to continue his rehab and hit the weight room and he will be fine.
