Such a headache and horrible idea.

Now I have to print out my own tickets if I want a physical copy, and I have to send an email if I want to share my tickets? This is a major inconvenience. I know it's "green" way to go, but The Blazers are saving thousands of dollars going this route and not passing along the savings. It also puts the onus on us to pay for our own paper and ink and makes it nearly impossible to give someone tickets if I somehow can't make a game last minute.

Interested to hear other fans opinions.

I totally agree and am not happy that this decision was made to use the access cards for many reasons.

    1. The paper tickets were something that my son and I keep as mementos of the games.  Now we cant' do that anymore.
    2. The tickets were neat because they had different pictures on them
    3. Easy to give to guests if you are not able to attend the game.
    4. I don't have a printer so I can't print my own tickets.  Even if I did like mentioned before it wouldn't be pro quality and would use up ink etc.
    5. Last year the tickets came in a "gift" like a trailblazers desktop bag or something like that.
    6. This year we didn't even get a schedule sent to us ??
    7. Having to worry about losing the card(s) and the replacement costs.
    8. When purchasing the season tickets I expected to get season tickets - not a season access card.
    9. There should be some type of refund to the ticket holders for the cost of not sending the tickets, especially after everything we have been through with Roy, Oden and the lockout - no GM etc...

I agree with all of those points Jeff. I myself do not own a printer either.

I got the "paperless" schedule as well.

You'd think with all the millions they have saved by not printing card stick tickets, they could have at least lowered the price of beer…?

This one isn't about the paperless tickets, but as far as the Blazers Organization NOT spreading the love to consumers when they're saving money, or not showing gratitude for all the fans who've come back after the lockout...

    was just watching the Wizards v 76'ers preseason game, just to get myself stoked for our opening game on Monday. They just happened to announce that the Philadelphia 76er's Organization has agreed to pay ALLLLL the service fees for ALLLL the tickets purchased through Christamas!!! That may not seem like much to people buying tickets at $100+ per seat, but let me use myself as an example;

my friends and I have thrown our money together to purchase one of the Big Game packs AND a pick-n-roll flex pack, as well as buying individual ticket groups to the preseason game, opening night game, and a few others. In total this year, I've purchased tickets already to at least 18 of the 33 home games. For most of those, we have 2-4 tickets, and up to 10 tickets on some of the games. So if I've purchased 50-60 tickets (all bought before our first preaseason game), and there is a MINIMUM of $3-$5 in fees PER TICKET, that's $150-$300 IN SAVINGS THAT THE BLAZERS COULD HAVE GIVEN BACK TO ME, and that's just if they matched what Philadelphia was giving back to it's fans. Being the fact that this is Portland and we're supposed to have the best fans in the league (which the Organization loves to remind us about, except when it would cost them money), I think asking them to match the generosity of PHILADELPHIA isn't much to ask at all.

Another perspective to think about; for fans that have the $$$ to buy $100+ seats, they won't be bothered whether you save them a few bucks in service fees or not. But for the TRUE hardcore fans, the guys that gather up tickets to as many games as possible, but can only buy in the 300 level seats because it's all they can afford on a blue collar salary in a down economy... if those fans are paying $14 a ticket, plus $3-$5 in service fees, the Blazers Organization could save them a HUUUUGE 17%-25% overall!!! JUST BY COVERING OUR SERVICE FEES! And you know what I would do with that extra money you saved me? I'D BUY MORE TICKETS TO MORE GAMES. Or i'd put it towards bills, but either way, if the Organization would help the fans by GIVING BACK like other teams, you end up with happier fans that trust you more, and the money comes back to you in the long run.

BLAZERS MANAGEMENT, SHARE THE F**KIN LOVE!!! SHOW YOUR FANS YOU CARE AS MUCH AS PHILADELPHIA!!!

A lot of fans are having similar frustrations with paperless tickets. Honestly, fans deserve better. If you have a story about how paperless tickets have in some way restricted your experience as a fan, please share it here: http://www.fanfreedom.org/share-your-story/

LOL at FanFreedom. No one on here has complained about paperless tickets in over a month. If you read the thread you'd realize this is no longer about that.

Paperless tickets don't change that much as a fan, that's about modernization into the 21st century and not wasting paper. They're printing less booklets for the games this year too. It's smart, and I can't think of why it would bother you that much unless you're just lazy.

What restricts the fan experience is the rising costs of attending games, and it adds insult to injury when the Trailblazers Organization continuously tells us we're the best fans around but won't do anything to reach out to us financially... The "Steal of the Game" deals have gotten to barely be saving at all, and the "Mike Rice's Ridiculous Deal" is a ridiculous JOKE. Saving a fan $5 on a $30 hat or shirt is not Fan Appreciation, that's a cheap attempt at an upsell. Believe me, Front Office, any fan out there is feeling the money pinch more than you.

Please, do something this season to show true fans that you REALLY care about them.

Ink Spot down on State Street in Lake Oswego can refill printer cartridges for a good price.

Now that we are half way through the season, and I have had time to evaluate the paperless tickets, I have to say I have no problem with them. I also know there was no real time to print paper tickets, and this may be a 1 time thing, but makes no difference to me if it is not. For those that go to single games and may like to save there ticket stubs, it may be a slight inconvenience now, but saves the time of having to clean them out of the junk drawers in the future.
