The Trail Blazers are known for many things: loud arena, passionate fans, winning franchise, and classic uniforms. Over the years the Trail Blazers have seen five major uniform designs. Coincidentally enough, Portland's most successful teams wore the longest and shortest tenured uniforms. The title winning Trail Blazers of 77 only had those kits for two short seasons, while the Trail Blazers of the 80's and early 90's (1990 Finals appearance, franchise record 63 wins in 1991) stuck around the longest, (14 years), from 78-91. With that said, which ones are the best?

    1970-71 Through 1974-75

    1975-76 Through 1976-77

    1977-78 Through 1990-91

    1991-92 Through 2001-02

    2002-03 Through Current

Without a doubt at least in my mind is the 1977-1991 jerseys.  The classic 'blazers' script font was great!  The finishing touch I think was the cool black 'belt' look the shorts had.  I loved the logo as well for it was when the logo was the way it was intended to look... straight not the slant look, which never made sense on that change.

Easily my favorites as well. I prefer the pinwheel upright and love how each of the three colors (red, black, white) are all evenly distributed throughout the uniform. Finally, the lowercase font is what does it for me...that's classic in my book.

Walton/Luke era was the best for unis. The originals are alright, but the cut is too tight, even for the 70's (though nice medallion Coach Adelman).

'77-'91 is my second favorite. After that, i'm indifferent.

The Clyde era jerseys will always be my fave.  The change looked good when it came in 92, but I liked the previous ones better. The RED 77-91 jerseys are probably my favorite all time, just sweet looking, but they never wore those when I started following the Blazers (90-91).

The new ones are nice. I think the Rip City jerseys are nice, particularly the grey road ones (that we never use) but very flashy.

The eras are correct here, but also recall the subtle changes like 2 years into the recent jersey era, they changed the black ones to 'Portland' instead of just 'Blazers'.

Also agreed, our logo looked better vertical than slanted. In a way, slanting it almost seems the distort the original integrity of the Blazers look/feel. All the same, if it is a Blazer jersey, I love it.

We never did do the Green St. Patty's day thing did we?

The new home Rip City jersey is the best. Blazers should take that puppy on the road.

Went with the championship winning jerseys. I love the fact that Blazers is written vertically down the side of the chest. I only wish they came out with a black version to wear on the road as well.

That is correct. Starting off the 05-06 season we rolled out the "Portland" away unis on Opening Night against the Hawks.
And, we have never worn a green St. Patty's jersey either.

Anyone know why we changed our uniforms right after winning the championship? The old saying, "if it's not broke, don't fix it" applies here...

I do agree, but they were the best jerseys we had in my opinion.

Mainly because of the script style is horizontal. You could take the new jerseys and throw it on there fashionably and they'd be stylin' but Blazers are Blazers lol

Definitely the 91 jerseys. They were the first jerseys to feature the 3 downward slanting stripes that have made our uniforms so iconic over the years. Also, if this poll is in any way shape or form indicative how of the rest of Rip City feels..we need a jersey change and please ditch the silver!

'77-78-'90-98 was definitely the best set of jerseys.

We should have a petition on this site to change to the 1977 - 1991 unis.
Not only is it the 'Championsip' jersey but also it is better looking in my opinion (No silver, number/fonts nice and smooth)

We could then send it to the organization!!!

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
