Very interesting idea. But, I'm not sure we could get him for only Rudy and Andre plus a pick. I'm trying to think of who else of value I'd be willing to part with. Also, I really want to see what Elliot Williams can do this year. He might be really good and with a year's tutoring from Andre could be an excellent starting point guard.

If, and it's a BIG if, denver would take Rudy, Dre and a pick for Felton, it's a no brainer. He is a young point guard that can score and averaged 9 assists per game in NY, plus we dont have to give up any of our core players. I love Dre and it would be hard to let him go, but Felton's upside is too big to pass up.

If we traded Dre and Rudy plus a pick, that's a steal and definitely not something to pass up. Maybe even Babbitt too.

I was very impressed with Raymond Felton when he started out in New York and even thought he could be one of the leagues few best...but then he didn't do too great after the trade. I think he would be really good to have, just depends on what we'd have to give up.

He wouldn't be the worst option in the world, but I've never been "wowed" by Felton. He's a good passer and great at running the pick and roll, but I'd like to see more of an outside shot from him. We need outside shooting so badly that unless a potential addition to the team is a center, the ability to shoot from the perimeter is going to be a critical point in seeing whether or not he'd be useful on the team from my point of view.

I don't see the value from the Nuggz point of view on that deal. The #21 pick in this draft isn't worth diddly and frankly neither is Rudy. Andre is an expiring contract and I don't believe Denver is hurting to clear that much cap space, although they may in order to re-up Nene if he opts out. But besides that, I think Felton would command more than that package we are offering.

I know they're looking to rebuild, but probably not to the point of taking that deal for Felton. Still, if they happened to decide to do it, I'd be giddy. Also, I know they really like Lawson and Smith, so maybe they see Feltons contract as expendable to get some depth at other positions? Although more likely is that they will probably play all three of their guys in training camp and let whoever does better win the starting job (which I do imagine will be Felton).

Yes, I would do Batum for Felton. I love me some Batum, but that would solve 2 of our problems at once, clearing the logjam at the 3 and giving us a dependable starter at the 1. Then we would also have the ability to trade Dre and Camby for a quality big man perhaps.

Really? Everything I've heard is that JR Smith will most likely leave via free agency. With Afflalo and Chandler and the 2, I don't think they need him.

The PG position is so tough to decide on. I'd say don't give Denver anything more than Andre, Fernandez, and a pick. Thats even being generous on our side b/c Andre is highly underrated and we would loose a lot of veteran knowledge of the game.

On the other hand, everyone is forgetting that Raymond played with Gerald Wallace (during his all-star year) so that might be a big upside to this scenario. Could run the court, knows Wallace, and can shoot. Its certainly convincing.

I like Felton's game and Utah has a loggam at PG.  I think this is the right time for a trade for Felton.  I would not give them Dre because he would be the ultimate backup until he retires.

If you don't want to trade Batum for Felton then trade Batum for the #3 pick in the draft.  Then pick either the best big man or PG.  I think Batum would rank with Gay in ability if Nic exerts himself.

I think with acquiring Wallace Batum is a great trade piece.

Raymond Felton is more talented than any other player Portland can get their hands on in the draft. Portland's trade offer may or may not be enough. It really depends on the position that denver is in next year and were they want to go with their current guys. I feel that a athletice fast pace point guard would serve the Blazers well since the roster is filled with guys that can get out and run in transition and finish.
