What is the biggest key to victory?
    Establishing Aldridge Down Low (8)
     29%
    Bench production (11)
     39%
Win The Rebound Battle (Esp If Camby Can't Go) (5)
     18%
Score Over 100 (Kings Allow 9th Most Opp. PPG at 102) (1)
     4%
    Shoot Over 40% From 3 (3)
     11%

After disposing of the Wolves, Portland heads onto the road for a quick game then back to the friendly confines of the Rose Garden. While the Kings own the Western Conference's worst record at 9-30 and have lost 7 consecutive games to the Blazers, included 3 straight at Arco Arena, the Trail Blazers biggest opponent tomorrow could be themselves.

Arco isn't what it used to be and will be milder than most NBA crowds. Portland can't just show up and expect the Kings to roll over and die for them. They need to be the aggressors and create their own energy, much like they did back on the 7th in Minnesota. Get them down early and they won't have the means to fight back. Although Camby is a game-time decision, even if he plays, it will be sparingly. That means, Przybilla and Cunningham really need to help LA out on the boards!

I think we need to shoot over 40% from 3. If we don't keep the defense honest, the Kings will just collapse on Aldridge and beg our shooters to beat them from 3. If we can just get one or two shooters in a rhythm, then the offense will be unstoppable, very similar to the Rockets of the mid-90's. You dump it into Hakeem. If they go straight up, you take your chances with Hakeem, and in our case Aldridge, taking that player one-on-one every time. If they feel like they want to double in order to get the ball out of the post players' hands, then we have a shooter, wide open ready to flash the 3 Goggles!

Agree DHawes22.  Last night, Aldridge did a great job of passing out of the doubles and finding teammates for open jumpers.  Matthews in particular, benefited from Minnesota packing it in.  If Rudy can't go, and with Camby doubtful, the Blazers will definately have their hands full.  I remember that Rocket team...specifically one Robert Horry, whom made a living from the top of the arc.  Good comparison.

Win the rebounding battle. Bottom line. Without Camby..WE MUST PROTECT THIS HOUSE! House being the paint of course :)

I can't decide which is the most important! Interior defence and rebounding is obviously important without Camby. Bench production is really key as well. Mills consistently does well, Rudy is very inconsistent though( will he play?), and Cunningham will start I guess so the frontcourt depth is going to be very weak. Wouldn't mind seeing Babbitt get a bit of game time. ANd yeh 3 point shooting, without guys who can get to the rim at will, and if teams just swarm aldridge, we will be relying on geat execution but i guess we will end up taking quite a few 3 point shots....Matthews and Rudy take the most of them and are incredibly streaky, infact Rudy is just ice cold right now! (Obvious statement of the week). So yeh a nice shooting night would be great, too.

With Marcus out for the game and for who knows how long, this game will be won or lost mentally. If we show up, focused, and ready to play, the Kings are ours. But if we show up sloppy, sluggish, and without the right mindset, we are ripe for the picking.

I also think we need to shoot over 40% from 3, I agree with You DHawes22, LA should play near the basket and when somebody is free outside pass him, we have Wesley, Rudy , Batum and Patty who can execute Kings. Hoping to see a lot of 3 Goggles I am waiting for next win .

    GO BLAZERS !!!

I think bench production is a must. Winning the rebound battle is big too but our bench needs to step up! Though I also want to see more Goggles tonight! =D

    NO MORE GOGGLES!!!!!!!!!!
That stuffs more played out than Jenny from the Bloc fool........
But If they shoot plus %40 form 3 they can bust out a few, but they are becoming annoying, seeing as how people complain about JR SMith and others who gloat after a really nice shot.
These blazers throw them up even when they miss it seems.

It's a PROUD day to be a Blazer!

@Tac...the difference between the goggles and "gloating" is simple really.  The goggles are always aimed at either teammates (and/or the Portland bench) or the Portland crowd...NEVER at the opposition or THEIR crowd.  That is among the many things that separates this Portland team and the culture that has been built here, from others around the league.  The goggles have bolstered team chemistry and cohesiveness.  Are you against teammates high-fiving one another too?  Similar, and definately NOT "gloating".  Please recognize the distinction.  Goggles are here to stay!

Nearly died a number of times in that game, especially that casspi three right at the end that went all the way in and out :D
Any road win is a good win :) Great comeback from Aldridge at the end after being held extremely well for most of the game, clutch performance from LA.

We can thank LaMarcus Aldridge for this win. Yes, Batum put up the points throughout the night and Dre hit a couple of clutch shots, but when the Kings were poised to take the game and run midway through the 4th, it was LA who always kept us close with his put-back slams. I swear he had at least 3 or 4 in a row, which was just enough to get us the win. He was surrounded by Kings all night yet he somehow managed to dominate in the 4th quarter, even without plays being ran for him at times due to the double teams. This was by far one of his most impressive performances imo.

I think Wesley Choked up, i mean what was his deal?

I like the Andre Miller Jumpshot gettin it done in ways he shouldnt, but thats clutch.
5 TO for Aldridge, not chillen, wish Pryzbilla was more offensively active too.
