After relisishing in all the sweet comments most of you made about LeBron shortly before this weekends game, i realized that once again, LeBron is in the air, and its not even February.  So i thought some of you would in turn love these nice comments David Stern has made in reference to all the "Boos" King James has received this year.

NBA commissioner David Stern is not pleased with all the negativity being directed at LeBron James, in the form of boos wherever he goes with the Miami Heat.

"I think that it's theater. I don't think he's really viewed as a villain. I think people love to either love or boo the Yankees. You either loved or booed Kobe and the Lakers. People used to love or hate the old Celtics.

But now, Stern said, "I'm not sure people know exactly what they're booing. Are they booing because he left Cleveland? Certainly they're doing that in Cleveland.

"Are they booing him because it took 18 minutes for 'The Decision' to say where he was going? Yeah, probably

    Short-But full article.....

I have become accustomed to people hating on LeBron, and honestly the biggest response i get for "as why" is because he is a Jerk. Like that New Boys song. Then i start to think even more about it, how is he a jerk to you? how did he personally hurt you? Do you know him well enough to make the judgement? Or do you just know him from all that you have seen on the TV, and what you read on the Internet?

I think its exactly what stern said, to all the basketball fans out there MJ is the king, and here comes this kid flying through the air single handedly trying to take his title, and the reason he is shunned is because "his pinky ring aint got no bling." Its like hating Tom Brady for being soo unbelievably clutch. Or Jimmie Johnson for playing way too much Pole Position as a kid and now DOMINATING nascar.

But its okay, because LeBron has been buried alive with hype and doubt, and even though people shoot him with their words and try to cut him down, with their eyes, still, like air, he'll rise.!

I don't know why the hell Portland fans boo'd LeBron.  It's like you're all idiots or something.  Why would you feed the man energy?  He just lit our team up for 44 and dominated us when it mattered most.  Good job Portland fans, good job!  *clap clap*.  Guess it gives you more to hate huh?

BTW, anyone see that amazing clutch game winning travel by LBJ?

I saw his clutch double-dribble with about a minute to play in regulation.  Could we be talking about the same play, or did he get away with murder TWICE?  That no-call ended up being a very impactful one on the outcome of the game too, I might add.

I've heard that so many times and it was never funny.  Same could be say about the entire Blazers roster and 99% of the players in the league.  He owned us tonight, I think we should all accept our fate and just move on.  Refs aren't an excuse.  We should just be happy we fought so hard and it took the best player in the league to drop us.  If we had Roy, we could have won in OT, but again, this shouldn't have gone to OT.  But, what can you expect, I was surprised to see the Blazers shot more FT's than the Heat.

I wish the fans wouldn't boo Lebron- it just serves to get him more fired up. But I also think he and the rest of the "stars" of the league get more benifit than doubt on calls- Consistency would be nice..

Who cares about lebron? I don't! He can act however he wants to act and I won't care one bit. He plays for a team I never liked and never will. He plays in a division and in a city I could careless about - really he should be a non factor for the Blazer fan.
I think the fans should give him silence instead of boo's.
We can treat him like the hobo on the street we pass as we just try to get by and get on with our busy lives. LbJ will not be stopped - he's too good, but we can also not feed his love for attention by fueling his self consumption with attention.
I purpose that the rest of the arenas fans take a vow of silence when LbJ has the ball except that one  75 yr old woman  season ticket holder who can then stand and shout " Lebron you hurt our feelings we wish you would act like a nice young man" if this doesn't take him out of his game nothing will.

    Anyway -

What I do care about is getting into the playoffs. We can only have power over what we actually can control, that is not letting a cold Miller come off the bench for the final shot before OT.
Seriously bad call on Nates part!!

    hahaha...chiillllll.
Rings mean what? Apparently they mean nothing To Artest, Russel only has 10 fingers, 11 rings did he give one away as well?
Is MJ the greatest because of his rings? Or the way he changed the game as an individual? What is most remembered about MJ? The rings?
Or the free throw line dunk? The super season? Or space jam?
    The baseball?
    The shoes?

Really is it all of it? Because if it is all of it, and that is what it takes to be the greatest, the LBJ is right up in there.
I mean without question his career will yield a ring. But how many is it going to take before people decide to like him?
It doesn't really matter. People have already made up their minds about him, and its because jordan already did it that they can say, "Its okay because its just not the same as before."
LeBron isnt trying to live Jordans Legacy....He's got his own blooming in front of him right now and its starting to look pretty nice.

Hey Space Jam was awesome Tay!

Ok lol so, I don't have to like Lebron (don't hate him don't love him), if I boo him thats my right as an American to boo him.  Personally I understand how good he is, how he is one of the best that has ever or will ever play this game.  I agree, he does not NEED a ring to solidify his abilities.  That being said, Stern has no right to judge how fans react to him.  If we want to boo him, we have every right to boo him.  Stern needs to either live with the fact that basketball fans 9 times out of 10 are super passionate, or step aside.

    Opinions are nice to have....

You don't play basketball just for personal accolades. Basketball is a team game. That being said the top of the sport is the NBA Championship. You can't be considered the greatest without at least one.

LeBron may fix that little cell phone of his, but he still wont EVER come close to Michael Jordan. Even if LeBron gets more rings than Jordan. Still needs defensive player of the year, lead the league in steals, average 30 ppg and I could just go on, but if I need to say more just ask. In the meantime LeBron still has that pesky phone with no ring.

I think some, but not all, of the booing can be attributed to too many people jumping on the band wagon. The guy with the sign that said "LeQuitter," the girl with the #28 Cav's jersey, unless they are personally tied to Cleveland, those little displays seemed rather pathetic to me. What happened with LeBron in Cleveland has no bearing on Portland.

I do, however, understand disliking his attitude. No one can deny that LbJ is an amazing ball player, and I don't hate on him for that. But his attitude rubs me the wrong way a little bit. I'm sure after countless games in numerous cities and constantly being booed, the guy is used to it. Our boos won't throw his game off; he adjusted to that after the second or third night of pre-season play.

But it was a good game, we played well, and I'm proud that we pushed them into overtime. Now let's just focus on cheering our Blazers on as much as possible and try to push them to plenty more wins.
I am a fan of continuing our winning streak!! BEAT LA!!

But Bron even has jordan in the "team aspect" of it all.
I mean, Jordans best assist season was like 88-89, he was THE Team PLayer. 8 assists per game and 8 rebounds.
    t
but that was it jordan had maybe 6 apg as his next best season in dishes.
to Bron thats nothing, Rebounds, nothing. Team aspect.
If it has to do with the actual team. At least Bron stayed in the same sport and didnt bone out to baseball.
People were and still are on jordans nuts so hard that they dont even trip on that.
its like i mentioned before, everyone wants to compare him to jordan, there can never be 2 great players, its always one.
And currently the world feels as if Lebron is trying to take that way from Jordan so they are comparing his every move in life to the guy.
where people didnt do that to micheal, he just came in, "jumped up in the air about 5 feet went up one way, said idk let me think about it, and just went up the other way."
MJ blew everyone on their butt, and people are still trying to get back up, and until they can see LBJ differently, they will always be staggering.

    @dkerlinger
LeBrons Attitude is portrayed however the media decided they want you to see him. You have to think on a "put your self in his shoes" level, this is a guy who really doesnt even make much money for the amount of talent he has, so that right there can show his team effort, he just wants to win.
The thing is now, everyone has painted him as the bad guy, everyone has said LeBron this Bron that, they have humiliated him and all that nonsense.
But now, when he does anything, people, the fans, the media, are all acting like it is a brand new thing. Like "oh my goodness where has this attitude come from?"

So it lets me know that when people hate on him, they dont mean it, otherwise there would be no more hype.
Wherever bron is, hype follows him, via fans, haters, media. they love him too much to let him go, look at Rodmann, they didnt put up with this kinda stuff, it was once a mess always a mess, not with Bron, its more of Once a Prince, Then a King. and people cant forget that.
If everyone who really did not genuinely like him just ignored him, well....they wouldnt have much to do hah, no but really it would just stop.

Ya wanna talk about rebounding Tay? Jordan average 1.6 offensive rebounds for his career while LeBron averages 1.2. That's 1.6 offensive rebounds with arguably the BEST rebounder of all time in Dennis Rodman on the same team. Defensive rebounds 4.6 for Jordan and LeBron with 7. Let's bring it to points per game.

Jordan averages 30.1 points per game with a average of 38.1 mpg for his career. LeBron? 27.7 in 40.2 mpg. Your probably going to say something about LeBron average more assists so he's less shots. Well I'll throw this at you. Jordan's field goal percentage for his career is nearly .500% while LeBron's is .470%, this is Jordan in the MUCH more physical play style that was allowed in his playing days. Need I say more?

    Rebounds=Irrelevent.
i actually was making a point of LeBrons Team play with his Assists, pointint out mj;s best assist season and how Bron dominates him in that catagory, so yes there is my LeBron assist comment.
You dont have to lecture me on Rodman and Rebounds, he is the best in my book.
But i see Assists as more "team play" than a rebound. I also see Defensive boards as more difficult to come by.

Points are nothing of much importance from these two power houses. but since you are at it, can you get me an AND1 comparison, because i wouldnt doubt bron being up in that one too

ha ha, offensive boards are harder to come by without a doubt! geez I cant believe I have to say that. And if you have to dig into and1's then that is pathetic. I am also pretty sure mj would dominate in that as well anyway. The only thing Lebron definitely has over Jordan is his size. That's it. With the game on the line Jordan is making the shot, Lebron is just lucky sometimes. This is a stupid thread to have in a Blazers forum.

I like Lebron! In interviews and talk shows he is always easy going and has a great sense of humour. I think its unfair he gets treated like this. I know its all reaction to him taking the easy route, but he hasn't won anything yet. He still needs to compete at a high level, and im glad he takes it on the chin and does the talking on the court.

He's no MJ though. MJ could easily of went to a team like Detroit and made it easier for himself, but he has true loyalty and loves a real challenge.

Offensive Rebounds are easier than defensive rebounds? Right. Where did you learn basketball?

The system that Jordan played on for a large part of his career was the triangle offense. Assists are distributed evenly within the ball-handlers. That's why you didn't see outstanding assist numbers from Phil Jackson coached teams. With that said, LeBron averages 3.4 turnovers per game and Jordan 2.7 turnovers per game.

The strawberry on top, LeBron may be bigger but he's averaging the same blocks per game as Air Jordan at .8. In the steals department? Jordan 2.3, LameBron 1.7.

hahha yeah i think its easy as hell to pull a blake griffin and keep missing the basket and grabbing the board,i do find that easily, especially when i play. Defensive boards are alot harder because of the unknown effort the other teams players will put into getting that  board.
I guess i miss where it says in basketball offensive rebounds are considered harder to get. I mean i dont really see your point?

Turnovers? Yeah turnovers dont mean anything. honestly Karl malone has THE MOST turnovers in NBA history, and yet no one remembers him from that, so dont waste your time looking up those stats anymore.
Jordan may have had the same amount of blocks but i highly doubt they were as important as brons, let alone as epic.
But MJ is looking at this....

YEAR TEAM G GS MPG FG% 3P% FT% OFF DEF RPG APG SPG BPG TO PF PPG
     91-92 CHI 80 80 38.8 .519 .270 .832 1.10 5.30 6.40 6.1 2.28 .94 2.50 2.50 30.1
This season, these are his 8th year stats, at the end of the year hahaha not to mention a fat ring at the end.
But let see if bron can keep up
Season Team G GS MPG FG% 3p% FT% OFF DEF RPG APG SPG BPG TO PF PPG
    10-11 MIA 40 40 37.9 0.482 0.369 0.767 0.8 6.2 7.0 7.2 1.4 0.4 3.7 2.2 25.4
who knows, might even get himself  a new cell phone after this one that rings right?

Then again, a deadly assassin is always more effective when he is quiet, perhaps turn it off vibrate when decapitates the NBA
