Hell yeah, The Rose Garden is our house. Miami is playing as well as any tem in the NBA but as of late so are the Blazers. Should be a great game...LA and the guys will get to show the rest of the league (being that ESPN and every other network cant seem to get enough of the Miami team) just how they are becoming the playoff contender that few people east of Minnestoa know about. Miami's exposure is sure to get the Blazers the highlights they deserve...Go Blazers!!!

Only thing that'd prevent the Heat from whooping our butts is if LeBron isn't smart enough to take this game over himself.  No one in the league can stop LeBron when he plays smart.  Luckily for the league, he's an idiot.

We have maybe a 20% chance of winning.  As long as we defend the perimeter and stop Dwayne Wade.  The problem for the Heat is that they let Wade take 20 shots even if he only makes 4 of them.

I'd give Wade 20 shots any day over giving LeBron 20 shots. Why? You said it yourself, LeBron is an idiot.

I don't think we can win this game. The Heat will cut us open and show us our weaknesses.

I think agian, i posted a different blog to day on how the Blazers are usually up for these kind of games...Miami just sweaked by Milwaukee the other night, feel behind ealry by quite a but, now a few weeks back a would have said against the blazers a 30 point lead wasnt safe but they are and have grown alot over the past month and are winning TOGETHER. Miami is pretty small in size compared to Portland, what will help miami is the refs blowing the whistle any and every time 1 of the 3 are in the paint.

I had no pre-conceptions re: James. During tonight's game, however, he demonstrated his complete lack of class and apparent ambition to make it to Oscar nominations. He needs to get over himself.

There it was. Our biggest weakness was shown. We do not have anyone who can carry a team on their back in the waning moments of the game, not LA, not Matthews, not Batum. No one. Last shot taken by Miller in a 1-4 flat pick and pop/roll? HA! let Miller take the jumper.

Agree the biggest weakness exposed, but not on offense. Still not a fan of expecting guys to come off the bench and hit a big shot cold.
Again I learn, be careful what you wish for, Nate didnt stick to his regid rotation in the 4th  :)

    Just Watch This!!!!!!

My favorite part is where the announcer says.... LeBron.

I think this video could also be used to teach other teams how to play Portland Style Defense.

When I played, noone...no matter HOW talented, ran their mouth or taunted because it was all too easy to "accidentally" walk up underneath them while they finished at the rim.  End of career.  End of mouth.  End of story.  We policed ourselves.  It was more about the game than it was about drawing attention to one's self in an effort to entertain or elicit a specific reaction.  THAT was for Broadway.

TayC...Your LeBron James wouldn't have made it off the court in the park where I played...at least not under his own power.

To address this thread and topic...be tough (both mentally and physically), play aggressive, and forget about the millions you're making whether you win or lose...imagine you're at the park and you're playing for pride.  When the Blazers have had success this season, THIS has been why.

    hahha. word.
But their isnt much that can hold up LeBron.
As you can see, not even an entire city stopped him
    hahahahhhhhhhhhhhhh.

LeBron doesnt run his mouth off, he doesnt taunt unnecessarily, he doesnt cheat any more than the next guy
Just because the heat are gettin better doesnt mean you have to find new things to pick at.
this was never an issue before.
But in comparison to Andre Miller, who apparently didnt play on your court either because i take it he would of been knocked out, is handling the season much worse than lebron.
I guess i missed that game early in the season when the heat were losing constantly, where lebron body slammed a member of the other team......... This team really cant talk about sportsman ship right now......i mean honestly, for this team to be considered as having sportsman ship,  would be a travesty.

Actually, you have made my point by bringing Dre into this conversation.  Griffin had something coming...and he got it.  Dre policed the situation himself, just the way we did back in the day.  Thanks TayC.

"Lebron doesn't run his mouth off, he doesn't taunt unnecessarily..."  Pardon the question, but when is taunting NECESSARY?  Doesn't run his mouth?  Surely, you jest.

"heat gettin better"...if losers of their last two games is better, you are correct.  Oh, and their last loss was a blowout to a Denver team in turmoil.

Any more points to make TayC?

well actually yes. my first point would be to take the Literal meaning of every word you read, and take it in a little less.
To your surprise actually. before the loss to the Clip show, the heat had won 21 out of 22, so yes i would call the better, idk maybe all the losing around here is clouding your judgment of winning.

I would also like to make the point as, The 3 goggles, are those nessicary? because if they arent then it is just poor sportsman ship. So my point was, he doesnt taunt any more than these fools in portland throwing groucho marks on their face.
He doesnt run his mouth, well in some ways. You see, i think you have failed to notice that the entire nation has slowly but surley suckled their way into the position of " LeBrons Nuts."
Therefore when this happens, every word that comes out of his mouth is taken in extreme literal context, surely you can understand this ;), LeBron is , well tries to be as normal as you and i, but imagine if you or i couldnt speak your mind without half of the entire nation knowing what you just said in less than 5 minutes, it would be hard.
But since this is the case it is often hard for people, such as yourself to determine wheather Bron is "Running his mouth" or just being normal. From my extensive amounts of research that i have done on this guy, i can honestly say with a FAT grin on my face that, LeBron isnt that  type of guy.
But its kinda funny still that everyone paints him that way, its Like Watching the Dark Knight and being like     " There is no way that is Heath Ledger....!!!!!"
Thats why i can smile about it. So when people see that in him, it is just another person gobbled into the media hype, and thats okay because Humans are Attracted to Hype like Bees To honey. Its only natural to misjudge.

    But

I still seem lost, were you playing basketball or where you on the Show Survior? Because you claim that What Andre Miller did was okay. SO now i am just picturing a bunch of guys beating the snot out of eachother as the basketball slowly ceases to bounce in the background.

If it was more about the game like you truly "believed" it was, then let me tell you something.
Everone would of left their heat at home, you come to play because you like the game, you like the sport, you like to exorcise, you like to try what you saw in last nights game. So when you do accidently  bump into someone you get down and help them up like a human being instead of a Barbarian. You dont Body slam someone for playing to rough, you straight up ask " Stop please" or give them an ultimatum " im calling a foul next time" and if it gets to be that much of a bother, you walk away, you dont beat someones head in, i dont care who you are, where you are from, you are a damn human being, and you know what, so am i, an ill be damned if you ruin the reputation that people have just because you want to act tough. Perhaps the entire concept of "human nature" was ripped away eons ago, but excuse me for believing in what is right, not what feels right.

But what i have an issue about is, if the heat beat Portland, and the clips beat the heat, does that make the clippers better than Portland?
