What is the biggest key to victory tonight?
    Stop Brooks/Lowry's penetration (2)
     11%
    Defend the perimeter (5)
     28%
    Points in the paint (6)
     33%
Live at the foul line (1)
     6%
    Win The Rebounding Battle (4)
     22%

After a disappointing outcome last night in Dallas, Portland must rebound quickly against a Houston team they beat just 3 days earlier. The Trail Blazers will also be up against the Toyota Center, an arena we just don't play well there. In fact, we've lost 12 of our last 13 games in Houston, including 6 straight. We must get more of a team effort tonight if we want the streak to be broken.

LA was LA last night, putting up big stats, but it could have been even bigger. He was just an inch or two off on a few shots which could have made the difference. Hopefully, Aldridge can get going early on, making life easier for the rest of his teammates.  But it won't matter if he doesn't get any help. It was the Camby/Aldridge show last night but even their huge nights weren't enough.

That helps us a lot, the game is there for the taking almost now, we just gotta stop scola getting off the glass and LA has to be consistent and shoot those buckets down. We can easily win this.

It has to be points in the paint. We nearly doubled them up in the paint on Sunday and that's what lead us to the huge victory.

Nice word choice Malfidog.  This game, last night, is the Blazers to lose.  All we have to do is keep up consistency.  I don't get how we're such a horrible road team this season when last season we were one of the best.  Maybe it's playing younger folks more often who just feed off the crowd.

But yeah, the way the Blazers have recently played, this game is theirs to lose.  We have everything we need to stop Houston, we just have to use our talents.

I didn't think we were going to pull it out once we got down 13 in the 4th. Pretty amazing turnaround and it came very quick. Patty got hot and revitalized the team and Houston couldn't handle the L-Train down low.

That was a remarkable turnaround. With Martin putting up 45, momentum against us after that third quarter slump, and like you said a 13 point deficit in the fourth I was pleasantly suprised the Blazers won tonight! Thankfully, that ended a long drought in Houston. Pattycakes is really STEPPING up this year with his energy and production I love seeing the bench play well while the team is depleted. Go Blazers!

Patty cakes played well again against Houston.

Kingfisher, I actually wore a St Marys sweatshirt I have just for you last night. I have a cousin who went to school there.  I got the sweatshirt when my Papa passed away. Ironically, I am the only one small enough to wear it :)

Great job by Nate to leave the hot hands in, and not go back to his rigid rotation. Maybe there is hope for rookie pgs in the future !

Im interested in seeing how Patty will do against Brooks' speed when he returns. To tell you the truth guys, i give the Blazers a punchers chance against every opponent we play. I never anticipate losses. We're short on every thing but heart on our squad and i'll take that. I miss the hell out of Brandon. Out of all the pseudonyms we've given that boy, one escaped us, The Closer. In the fourth, i cant think of anyone whos hands i want the rock in.

I thought LA did a nice job of closing out the Rockets last night, pounding the ball inside, imposing his will.  Houston was literally defenseless.  They unloaded the arsenal on LaMarcus, never finding an answer.  Did anyone else catch the "see ya" salute LA gave to the Houston faithful after his up and under, left-handed finish at the rim to end all hope for the home team?
