I'm not saying the Blazers are better off without Brandon Roy, Brandon Roy is a very good player. But without Roy we play a much faster pace Offense and La Marcus gets more touches showing his talent around the basket. Wesley Mathews has stepped up and has shown he can create his own shot and watching Patty Mills play the way he has been gives me a hunch that he can be a future starting point guard. Seeing the way we have been playing without Roy has shown the talent of some of our other players and it looks like to me the Blazers play just as well as we do with Roy.
I am a fan of LA owning!!

LA is fast becoming the much needed goto guy in the 4th Qtr which the team needed since Roy was unable to do so this year.  With that the surrounding players like Wesley, Batum and Camby have stepped up their game as well.  I don't think we are better without a healthy Roy, but I do think if he can't give the team 100%, then rocking the boat will be more detrimental than what he can provide the team.

No. We are better off without a wounded and uncertain Roy. And Roy is better off seeking a medical solution than trying to play through the pain.

Love my Blazers, Roy emphatically included!

While we have a  huge amount of talent on this team, there is no way we are better without a healthy Brandon Roy who has taken us to the playoffs two years in a row, and has let us experience two 50+ win seasons.

Like Mike Rice said today on chalk talk, the answer to our horrible road record so far this season? We don't have a healthy Brandon Roy.

Let Roy rest up and explore other options, and see what will work for him... because we DEFINITELY need him.

We are definitely better team without the '10-'11 Roy. But we are WORLDS better with a healthy Brandon Roy. Last night against Dallas was evident, this team does not have a closer, we have no one who can produce their own high percentage shot in the final 5 minutes of a close game. Frankly, that's where playoff games, series and championships are won.

Without a doubt we are way better off with a healthy Roy.

The question really is will Roy ever be 100%.

There is no doubt in my mind that Roy can still compete in this league at say 85%.
So the question to me then becomes -----> Can this team be better without Roy at 85%?
Tough question, tough decision this organization will have to address.

Now I'm a Roy supporter - all my memorabilla, attire is centered around Roy so I hope he does recover to a degree where which he elevates this team.  BUT, it still is about the team and if the decision is made that we can get better going a different direction then I still will follow and support this team.  Food for thought - would a swap of Roy at 85% for Varejao at 100% improve this team.  I think it would and it is a trade that could actually work within the CBA.

Again I'm a Roy fan, but more importantly I'm a Trail Blazer............

Agreed. All i could think about the last 5 minutes of that Dallas game was how much Brandon Roy is missed. I'm sure the team felt it too. [Not to take anything away with what they've done without him, they have done great. But the fact is, the Blazers still very much need Roy. I hope, hope, hope that he is able to find a solution to the knee problem where he is able to play again and be effective.]

No way at all.  It's been said.  We're playing really good without him and growing, but Roy is the hero of this team, and revived this team.  A lot of our younger players wouldn't be as good as they are without Roy.

The Blazers are certainly better off without an injured Roy; if he's not able to keep pace, he slows the team down.

Nice Idea but I think the TWolves trade is very lobsided in our favor

Derrick Williams and Budinger are proven players in the league. Claver and Freeland are not

Hawes was playing nice this season and would be a good pick up imo ...

I love the Grit and Grind, and I love the Spurs timeless play. I think if the Spurs get to the finals, they will beat the heat, but they won''t beat the Grizzlies easily, and the Grizz can''t beat the Heat. I know it''s weird.
