I wanted to inquire about the future of Greg Oden and the Portland Trail Blazers. As we all know, Portland did not offer Big Greg a new contract. Does this mean that Portland has no longer has intentions for him to play for the Blazers any more? Do they have the rights to match any offers he may receive or????

I have a feeling that when Greg is finally ready to play, he's gonna be a beast and I hate for Portland to invest tons of money in medical bills to fix him to benefit another team.

As long as Odens making strides and getting it done during rehab after the surgery, they will give him an offer, or match someones. At this point you might as well roll the dice one more time.  Although this time will cost the organization more money if it ends in a bad way again, and that will be the end of ODEN as a BLAZER. But if he isnt doing the necessary things to get better then the organization will most likely let him hop into free agency. (half of that was basically summing up what Larry Miller said right after odens surgery, just kind of in my own words more or less) And I'm sure thats exactly how they will treat this.

When I saw the press conference on BlazersTV when the news was released, MB and MR said that Rich Cho is confident Greg Oden will be a Blazer next season.  The only problem is will he want to sign?  And will another team match his offer?

After the Blazers sinking so much money into Oden there is no point in letting him go some where else. I dont know if anyone remembers but in 21 games in 09-10 he averaged 11.1 points and 2.30 blocks so if the Blazers can get him on a much smaller contract he can be of some use for the Blazers.

I sure hope he returns. Now that LA has finally realized that he can be a dominant force inside, him and Oden together can terrorize the league under the rim. All they would need is to work out a deal to bring in Paul and look out!!!

Lol, no. Dwight Howard would be the absolute worst thing to ever happen to Portland, and no doubt my fellow message boarders will let you know why.

Joakim Noah has had his injury troubles. His crazy game and high energy make him a constant injury threat. What separates him from Oden and Rose (I had to just mention him) is his willingness to play the way he loves.
