Orlando will send PHX Carter, Gortat, Pietrus, a 1st round pick and $3 million for Richardson, Hedo and Earl Clark, source tells Y! Sports.
After looking at the salaries, each team gets an expiring (Richardson/Carter) and takes on a hefty long-term deal (Gortat/Turkoglu). Earl Clark was a former lottery pick so maybe he might turn out but that pick Phoenix is getting will be very late in the 1st round. I don't like this at all for Phoenix, because they lose their 2nd best player in Richardson and their only other player, outside of Nash, who can create their own shot (Hedo). Gortat is an ok center but he'll still be a backup to Lopez and does Carter even have ANY game left? It just doesn't seem like Phoenix has the proper personnel to go with Nash. Kind of funny how Hedo ends back up in Orlando, isn't it? Watch out for Orlando now! They have the core group back from the 09 title run PLUS a deadly weapon in JRich.

ha ha ha they traded to get Hedo back??!?!? That is funny. They should do better now, Carter is not what he used to be. The Suns though, they must be working on something else.

yeah that trade makes no sense for phoenix... seems they are rebuilding, but why? they were just in the western conference finals LAST SEASON. they must reallllly be regretting letting amare go.

The magic are gonna be way better now as long as arenas doesnt start shooting it a ton instead of getting Howard involved.  Also I like both of the magic's trades since hedo, richardson, and arenas will all be perfect compliments to Howard since the can all stroke it from outside.  But like I said if any of them start hogging the ball away from Howard it will disrupt their chemistry and they will be worse than they are now.

Nice, +points for my favorite Eastern team. Hedo might take on his old role if he can still do it, and you have people who can shoot around him with Dwight with his new post moves. If they can string it all together this just might be their year.

The fact that they gave away J Rich is pure insanity to me. He was there 2nd best player in the playoffs. I mean just because stoudemire left this team got in "end of the world mode" and started trading everyone.

It would make more sense to of trading Nash, being that he's old now.

Now you get ANOTHER old guy that is kind of washed up and you're just hoping he'll become the guy he used to be.

The only benefit i see is the fact that they have gortat now. Gortat is a great center and i believe he should start for them he's better then lopez.

Magic gained tremendously in this trade, suns lost terribly.

The wizard magic trade was pretty solid though. Rashard Lewis is the type of guy that needs alot of shots to be a 20+ ppg scorer and he wasn't getting that many shots in orlando. Hopefully they'll play rashard at his true position, the 3 and he'll stay there and help the wizards grow and maybe get to the playoffs next year.

Looking forward to seeing the new teams with their trades.

I'm sorry buddy, but saying "this might be there year" is a big reach.

Celtics, Lakers and Heat are clearly the BEST teams in the league and our still better then the magic with that roster. Dallas and spurs are playing better then magic as well, so maybe they'll take that 4th spot when they get rollin. I don't see them beating the heat or celtics in post season.

The Heat dont have anyone who can stop Dwight and I think adding J Rich is definitely a positive but we'll have to wait and see how they respond to the new additions. Right now the Celtics look like the team to beat in the East with Miami breathing down their neck and out here it looks like the Spurs and the Lakers. I think the Mavs will fade as usual.

Also I thought it was funny Nash and someone else on the Suns tweeted that they will miss J Rich but no one said a thing about Hedo.

I still don't get why either team made this trade.  It seems to weaken both of them.  the Magic aren't even an Elite team in my opinion, and this trades not going to make them any better.  Who is the backup center?  Why did Phoenix get rid of J-Rich?

I don't think Orlando understands that jumpshot teams don't win championships.  They just lowered their inside presence even more, and that's what hurt them when Dwight was in foul trouble.  Heat vs Celtics in ECF.  Magic might fall to a low seed playoff team.

herr i dont want to be rude or anything but the Orlando Magic have been probably the best statistical team over the past 3-4 years.
With Dwight D leading the league or being 2nd or 3rd in rebounds and blocks for that time..
With all their Sharp shooters they have been top 5 in 3pt, pretty high in % as well.
They actually i think, im not super sure, but they led like steals and assists too, and you say "no way" but they did. I mean how they havent won yet is beyond a lot of people im sure, but since they went against the lakers in that final that team has been nothing less than Elite.
Stan really knows what he is doin down there.

But there are alot of Q's about this trade like you mentioned, why trade j rich, like where is there any logic in that? he has showed that they can lean on him when they need to.
But like think back, why did the magic trade courntey lee, he seemed like a promising prospect, and how patient they were with Nelson healing that injury.
Acquiring VC, i mean he seems like he is running on empty at times, but its still VINCE CARTER!!! But they are ruining the chemistry that this team has built through all those playoff games as well.
I wouldnt be surprised if this trade comes back to bite them in the butt, and it will be interesting to see what JRich does, how his game performs.
