BARCELONA, Spain (AP) -- Ricky Rubio is promising NBA fans they'll get to see his razzle-dazzle, but not before the 2011-12 season -- and not necessarily with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Rubio tells the Associated Press that he won't leave Spanish club Barcelona before his opt-out clause comes up after next season.

The 19-year-old Spaniard will stick by the Timberwolves, but expects improvements.

He is also "open to everything," like playing for another team should a trade deal come along that Minnesota finds hard to pass up.

Rubio sees himself as a player in the mold of Magic Johnson and Steve Nash, and wants Shaquille O'Neal to stick around -- he's the one player he most wants to face.

Man, the Wolves really goofed that one up. They could have had Jennings of Curry to play with Flynn. I know some GM's like to play hardball with prospects and will pick them even if they don't show signs of interest in coming over, but you can't take that risk with a top 5 pick. I wonder where they will look to deal him to? Maybe trade his rights in this year's draft for a high pick?

How big is Rubio?  Magic may be a stretch. Be careful what you wish for, Shaq will squish him like a bug.
With the Blazer track records with Spanish players lately, I'm not nearly as  excited by the thought of Rubio possibly coming to Portland. He already " expects" a team to improve for him ?

Minnesota should trade Rubio in hopes of moving up to #2 and landing Evan Turner. First off, I think Rubio is an overrated player and he really doesn't seem like he has a desire to play for that organization. They should deal him while his value is still high.

Paul Allen said how do we get better?  I see no activity in the draft with no draft picks.  The trade possibilities are limited because of the value of our bench players.  We have no cap space.  So I think the improvement of our b...

First Game starts tonight. Houston is a tough first round opponent and they play exceptionally well at home. If we can steal a game or two at their place, I feel like we have extremely good chances.

P.S. Would anybody happen to have a...

The Blazers were winning!  That is the key word, were.  Blazers are living proof that you can live and die by the jumper.  Lately it has been dying.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
