Tip-off is only about half hour away. Bayless is starting, Roy is off the bench. Key to winning is getting off to a good start. What do you think?

They DID have a great start- but what is going on now?  This is getting painful.  What is up with the refs?

I am so sick and tired of Portland fans always looking for any and every reason to blame the refs for OUR bad play.  Are you kidding me?  You're all like the little kid who blames his little brother when he (the big brother) punches him.  Have the refs been making bad calls?  Yes, but you have to play through the bad calls.  Our guys lost their composure, stopped playing the way that they were in the first quarter, and gave up the game.  They aren't playing with any heart right now, and it is THEIR fault that they are losing.  Quit whining and support your team, instead of finding excuses for them.  Nate doesn't allow excuses.

hey, hey, hey, explain the one call where Nash ended up shooting for foul he was no where close to?  I am just saying the refs are calling some nasty calls.  Finally Jeff is going in.  He has such heart and gets the other players pumped.

I love that as soon as things go bad, everyone turns on LaMarcus for being "soft".  Seriously people?  Are you kidding me?  And saying we should have kept Channing instead?  How soon we turn on our stars when things go bad.  Classy, Portland, classy.

It's not just the refs. Our players are just not playing. We are not rebounding at all.

tough game..we came out fired up and took an 18-4 lead but just could never recover from Camby getting his 2nd foul. We really could have had this but it all went downhill in the 2nd half. Much more effort on the defensive end of the floor needs to happen if we want a chance at a Game 7!

Agreed, I saw my very first NBL game Trailblazers -v- Dalls in portland a few weeks ago, I am an Aussie and have now adopted the Portland Trailblazers as the side to barrack for, the booing in the stadium that night was unsportsmanlike, we were simply outplayed and missed mis range shots all night. I miss beautiful Portland, but I will forever be a fan. From an Aussie with passion

Everyone complaining about the refs really need to stop.  They made a couple bad calls lasy night (like putting Nash at the line after the Camby foul), but it didn't cause the Blazers to lose.

Poor rebounding on the defensive end and way too many 2nd chance points.  In games 3 and 5 they killed the Blazers because of hot shooting by Richardson (G3) and Dudley/Frye (G5).  Who's been hot for the Blazers?  Rudy for 2 minutes in G3 and LA FROM THE OUTSIDE in G4.

The only Blazers that have a clue right now are Bayless and Miller.  They're being aggressive and taking it to the hole.  Camby has been great as well.  I put more blame on Nate for contimuing to go with Webster and Fernandez.  They suck and are taking away minutes from other players that need to be on the court more i.e. Bayless, Miller and Batum.  Who cares about minutes and playing time right now.  Step up or sit on the bench!!

Only 13 replies on a gameday thread? On my Raider forums during an average gameday thread we have between 400-800 replies in 3 hours, so where is everyone posting?

One thing to keep in mind when talking about Bayless, Miller and Batum on the floor more. First of all, this series has been very up tempo and the guys are getting tired. We have to let the guys rest from time to time. It would be great if we had nothing but players who could go out and play 48 minutes without a break but reality is that just isn't smart. When you take a player who is struggling and then cut their playing time back even more, the slump they are in seems to go on and on. That seems to be the issue with Rudy. He is a good defender and smart player. As for Webster, everybody knows that he is an on again and off again guy. Usually he gets hot and stays that way for a few games then cools off. I don't know if we have enough time for him to get hot again but I sure hope so. I can hear the collective sighs from the fans whenever Rudy or Webster pass up an open three but if they are not feeling it, they are actually playing smarter by passing the ball off.
Nate has done an amazing job this year and I know that he believes in all his guys so I do too. Besides, what have we got to lose? The series? Well it would be very cool to win it but if we don't, it isn't like it will be the end of the world for the Blazers, we will be back stronger then ever next year.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
