    LaMarcus Aldridge is steadily getting to where he - and Trail Blazers coach Nate McMillan - believes he can be. Aldridge scored a season-high 29 points and added 12 rebounds to help Portland snap the Phoenix Suns' six-game winning streak with a 129-109 victory Thursday night. With the win, the Trail Blazers’ magic number stands at six.     Brandon Roy scored 24 of his team high 28 points in the second half, and connected on two clutch free throws with 1.7 seconds left on the clock, helping the Portland Trail Blazers (38-22) to a 107-105 victory over the Indiana Pacers (27-37) in front of 20,020 at the Rose Garden Wednesday night.     On the second night of a back to back in the Mile High City, the Portland Trail Blazers dug themselves a hole in the first half, climbed out in the third quarter, then dug an even deeper hole in the fourth on the way to a 106-90 loss to the Denver Nuggets Thursday night. “We just looked like we had heavy legs from the start to finish,” said Nate McMillan. “They tipped off early and basically what they were doing was a lot of one-on-one, a lot of movement.     The Portland Trail Blazers (39-23) swapped leads with the Minnesota Timberwolves (18-44) 25 times before pulling out a 95-93 victory in front of 20,535 fans at the Rose Garden Saturday night. Portland finished their season series with the Timberwolves a perfect 4-0 for their eighth series sweep of the 2008-2009 campaign.     The Portland Trail Blazers (40-24) struggled early and were unable to fully recover, falling to the Dallas Mavericks (40-25) 93-89 in front of 20,286 fans at the Rose Garden Wednesday night. Portland lost to Dallas for the third time in 2008-2009. The Mavericks are the only Western Conference team Portland has not defeated this season.     After staying close in the first half, the Portland Trail Blazers were outscored by 15 in the second half, eventually falling 98-90 to the Atlanta Hawks in an early road game Sunday morning. The game was the first of a crucial five-game road trip. “You can’t be down on the road and make a comeback,” said Brandon Roy. “It’s just too tough.     Brandon Roy scored 20 points, Greg Oden won his first pro game in his hometown, and the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Indiana Pacers 95-85 on Wednesday night. The win was Portland’s first at Conseco Fieldhouse since March 17, 2003. The Trail Blazers jumped on the Pacers early, building a 20 point lead in the second quarter. Portland has now defeated the Lakers seven consecutive times at home, and have pushed their season-high home win streak to 12 games, the third longest streak in the Rose Garden’s history.
