The last Trail Blazers game was 120 days ago and the preseason is still more than a month away from starting. For those who can't wait any longer to see their Trail Blazers in action, have no fear. Starting on Saturday, the 28th of August, and running through Thursday, the 2nd of September, there will be a total of 19 preliminary games over in Turkey for the World Championships with distinct Rip City connections. Armon Johnson has taken little time off since being selected by the Trail Blazers with the No. 34 pick in the 2010 Draft. Though he's already been awarded his first contract, Johnson continues to be a summer mainstay at the Trail Blazers' practice facility, working out with the likes of Brandon Roy and Elliot Williams in anticipation of training camp.
In between workouts, Johnson talked to Casey Holdahl of blazers.com about his life since 11.6 points, 4.2 assists and 2.2 rebounds during the Las Vegas Summer League.

Taking part in an 82-game season provides NBA players with a plethora of opportunities to witness every memorable aspect the game of basketball has to offer, from fights to miraculous comebacks. And even in a season where the 2009-2010 Trail Blazers ostensibly saw it all, the date November 14th, 2009 will not soon be forgotten. Call it bizarre, strange, kooky or peculiar, this seemingly routine pit stop in Charlotte had it all wrapped into one 48-minute smorgasbord. Even from the beginning, there was foreboding signs which pointed to an adventurous evening in North Carolina.
