Trail Blazers @ Kings Game Thread
After getting taken to the shed in their previous two home games, the Trail Blazers will take their show on the road for a pit stop in Sacramento before returning home on Saturday. Both teams split the first two games of the season series with each team winning on the others' home floor. It was the Blazers, back on January 19th, winning 94-90 in overtime and the Kings stunning Portland, 96-81, just five days later in the Rose Garden.
If you're patient, work the ball around, and take quality shots, the Kings won't put up much of a fight. They are 10th in points allowed at 103 and their opponents shoot a sky-high 48% from the field, 4th highest in the League. Sacramento also isn't very potent on offense, especially from downtown as they are the second worst three-point shooting team at 33%. If I were Portland, I'd crash the glass and pack the middle of the paint and force the Kings to beat me from the perimeter. Long jumpshots lead to long rebounds and fast break. Rebound the ball and Portland could have a field day in the open court.continue
