Trail Blazers vs. Rockets Game Thread

The Trail Blazers wrap up their five-game homestand Tuesday night against the Rockets, looking to rebound from an embarrassing loss on Sunday against the Hawks. Not only is this the last of the five straight home games but Portland is going for the season sweep of the Rockets and pushing for a homestand as well. Portland defeated Houston 100-85 on January 2nd and finally got an elusive win at the Toyota Center, 103-100, three days later on the 5th.

After dealing away both Shane Battier and Aaron Brooks, this will be the first time the Blazers have faced the new-look Rockets who stunned the Hornets last night in New Orleans. So even though the Rockets look lottery bound and have lost a lot of their talent, either through trade or injury, they are coached by Rick Adleman, which means they'll fight to the bitter end. Portland just needs to jump out to a fast start, get the crowd behind them and play loose. They looked very tight last night and hopefully they can play just down and play their game.continue
