Trail Blazers vs. Nuggets Game Thread

The new-look Nuggets stroll into town for the first time without Carmelo Anthony and it will also be the first time the Nuggets will have their new additions from the Knicks. While Denver looked like world-beaters the day after the Melo deal in which they dominated the Grizzlies from start to finish, it could have been just a one-game ordeal where they wanted to prove their worth. I think it will be a little more difficult integrating so many new, key pieces on their team. The dynamic between point guards Raymond Felton and Ty Lawson is key. Which one starts? Does the other sulk and pout? All are things to look out for.

As for the Blazers, they must rebound after an emotional loss last night against their bitter rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers. Not only do the Blazers have 3 more games on this homestand, but they are in a fight for playoff positioning. 3 teams have 25 losses, all vying for the 5th seed. For Portland to win, they need to find Aldridge and continue to find him. Too often we forget about LA down the stretch and it finally caught up to us last night. Find LA, make your free throws, and limit turnovers and Portland should walk away victorious. continue
