Trail Blazers vs. Bulls Game Thread
After a disappointing 1-2 road trip, the Trail Blazers make a quick pit stop back at the Rose Garden tonight to battle the surging Bulls. Chicago, lead by MVP candidate Derrick Rose, is the proud owner of the third best record in the East and have won 8 of their last 10 games. Portland is looking to avenge their 110-98 loss to Chicago back on November 1st. In that game the Bulls were without newly acquired Carlos Boozer, who's definitely not a stranger to the Trail Blazers or our personnel.
The Bulls are still without the services of Joakim Noah, who is expected to be sidelined for at least a couple of months, which puts the onus on rebounding that much more. With both frontcourts being shorthanded, the playing field is leveled and whoever wants it more or which set of guards helps crass the glass could determine the winner. Chicago is stingy on defense, taking on the personality of their first-year head coach Tom Thibodeau. With that said, it will be important for Portland to cash in on Chicago turnovers, run at any opportunity and tally more than 10+ second-chance points tonight.
