Trail Blazers @ Pacers Game Thread
After dropping the first game of their road trip in Denver, the Trail Blazers have a great opportunity to string together some wins before the All-Star Break as five of the their next six opponents are below .500, starting with the 19-27 Pacers. Conseco Fieldhouse, a place Blazer fans never had a good feeling going into, until the team broke through with wins during the 2009 and 2010 season. Prior to that, the squad had dropped five straight in Indianapolis. While the Pacers are only 12-11 at home, they did jump out to a 16 point 1st half lead last month in Portland before falling 97-92.
For the Trail Blazers to keep a grip on the 8th seed, they must continue to play team basketball. In their win earlier against Indiana, Portland racked up 29 assists. Also, we need to make someone else beat us other than Danny Granger. If that means shadowing him with another player or straight up double teaming him, I'd go for it. I'll take my chances with their role players over Danny shooting any day of the week. continue
