    HEAD COACH TERRY STOTTS:

    Opening statement:
“I thought it was a good effort against arguably the best team in the West. It was our fifth game in seven nights and we just didn’t have it at the end. They’re a talented team that creates a lot of problems at both ends of the floor. I don’t think that the final score is indicative of how the game went, but my hats off to them. They’re a good team.”

    On the Trail Blazer’s offense:
“I thought shooting was up and down. I thought we had some good looks. I credit their defense, but we didn’t get a lot of easy baskets. To shoot a good percentage, you need to have some easy baskets, and we didn’t get a lot of those.”

    On the Thunder’s transitions:
“They convert really well off of misses and turnovers. We only had six turnovers in the second half but they had 15 fast-break points. They convert on them pretty quickly and that’s a bad combination. We had 11 turnovers in the first half and they only had five fast-break points. I don’t know if there was much we could do about that.”

    WESLEY MATTHEWS:
On what happened in the fourth quarter:
“Well they hit a couple shots.  I don’t know if we turned the ball over or not.  I can’t remember the series of events, but they caught fire a little bit.  The score wasn’t indicative of what the game was, and I was disappointed.”

On what makes the Thunder tough defensively:
“They have two guys that patrol the paint, and they’re physical… Perkins kind of controls the paint.  Serge takes care of stuff at the rim.  They’ve got pretty good on-ball defenders.  But we still had 22 assists or something; we didn’t make shots.  We missed a lot of open shots as well.”

    ERIC MAYNOR:
On emotions returning to Oklahoma City:
“It was just good to see all of those guys.  It felt good for the crowd to clap for me when I checked in and stuff like that.  I had some good memories here.  I wish we could have got a win, but other than that it was cool.”

On how to fix Portland’s slipping leads:
“Get good shots maybe.  Learn from stuff like this.  It’s only going to make us better.  We’re just trying to take steps forward, but I would say get good shots and not turn the ball over and playing our side of defense.”
