    POSTGAME QUOTES

    HEAD COACH TERRY STOTTS

    On tonight’s game
“This was a great win against a playoff team. I was very pleased with our defense, particularly in the second half. With back-to-back wins like this on the road against Chicago and Atlanta, I’m very proud of my team. This team always bounces back from tough performances all year, so this team never quits playing. Defensively we were very active tonight with our pick-and-roll coverages, very similar to last night against Chicago. When (the Hawks) missed we rebounded the ball well. We also guarded the three well tonight. The fact that we didn’t make turnovers and rebounded well prevented them from being able to get out and run.”

    On Wesley Matthews’ performance
“Wesley is really shooting the ball well. He made some tough shots. He makes them look easy but they are tough shots. He made some shots that got us back into the game, and he played great defense too. He’s in a nice groove right now.”

    WESLEY MATTHEWS
On his game and team’s game tonight
“I’m just trying to continue to do the same things that I’ve been doing. Things went well for me tonight. We’ve lost a lot of games that we shouldn’t have, and we’ve won some games that we probably shouldn’t have. But we’re going to keep on fighting (to make the playoffs) until we’re mathematically eliminated.”

On issues prior to game with team bus running late, etc.
“We didn’t even have a shoot around, and I didn’t warm up at all. I didn’t even eat until 15 minutes before the game. Everything seemed to be stacked against us.”
