    POSTGAME QUOTES

TRAIL BLAZERS HEAD COACH TERRY STOTTS

    Overall thoughts on tonight’s game
“It’s tough to beat a team back-to-back and we showed that tonight. Clippers came out much more aggressive. First half, they had their runs. One of our goals against them is to limit their runs and not feed into their runs, and I think that kept them in the game the first half. Second half, mainly third quarter, they came out of the gates, and we were down double digits the whole quarter.”

    On Clippers defensive play
“I thought they did a good job with their pick-and-rolls. I thought they did a good job of containing our penetration. Our turnovers hurt us and gave them [the ball in] transition. I thought they were more aggressive.”

On play of Clippers forward Blake Griffin
“He’s doing everything. He’s passing, he’s scoring, he’s sealing in the paint, and he gets out in transition. He did a little bit of everything. Looks like he’s letting the game come to him and taking what’s there.”

    DAMIAN LILLARD
    Overall thoughts on tonight’s game
“First of all, it’s hard to beat the same team two times in a row, especially on back-to-back days. They’re a really good team. I think last night we did a lot better controlling their transition, not giving up as many easy plays. That was really it. We

On the team’s inability to convert three point attempts
“I thought we got a lot of good looks at the three point line. I know for a fact I got a couple good looks myself that didn’t fall. Luke [Babbitt] got a couple looks that didn’t fall. They really flew around, they played good defense, but I think it was a combination of them flying around and us not knocking down the shots that we made last night.”

    LAMARCUS ALDRIDGE
    On second half failures
“We didn’t take care of the ball, we had turnovers in the second half. I thought they had some easy break outs that opened the game up.”

On the difference from last night’s game
“We just made more shots last night. More guys played well last night. Tonight some of the guys were a little tired. We didn’t play as well as we did last night.”

On the play of Clippers Forward Blake Griffin
“They’re a really good cutting team. I thought he did a good job of finding guys and making good reads. [His passing is] above average, I think his basketball IQ is really good.”

    JJ HICKSON
On the difference from last night’s game
“[We were unable to] get back in transition. That’s something that they throw out more to try and get themselves going, and we didn’t do a good job getting back to them.”

    On playing the Clippers back-to-back
“It’s very difficult [to beat a team twice in a row], especially in this league, and especially playing a team back to back, with no time in between. But that’s no excuse. We knew it was going to be a tough game, especially playing in LA. We were ready for the challenge, but we just came up short.”
