Trail Blazers: Gerald Wallace Finds Home On The Road
"When you go home and you're there by yourself, you keep overplaying it and keep rethinking the game and everything," said Wallace. "That's a lot harder to do when you have kids. You go home and your kids take the attention off the game. Like my daughter said 'Daddy it's OK. We'll win tomorrow.' Simple things like that kind of keep you going and get you focused for the next game."

Oregon Live: Trail Blazers simply must get more from Wesley Matthews and Gerald Wallace in Game 2 vs. Mavericks
"Matthews, in fact, took only three shots -- the fewest he has taken all season -- and made one. Much of that is due to his picking up two quick fouls and playing just 19 minutes -- a stint so limited, it was actually five minutes shorter than what he played in the season-ender at Golden State, when the Blazers rested most of their regulars."

    ESPN: Blazers-Mavericks Game 2 Adjustments
"If Nate McMillan was going to complain about something in Game 1, it should have been his misplaced loyalty to Brandon Roy. Roy played the entire fourth quarter despite accomplishing nothing of note; he finished 1-of-7 with two points in 26 minutes. While he assisted on three fourth-quarter baskets, his presence on the court was part of a larger problem: Portland's lack of shooters makes it an easy team to guard. "

Portland Tribune: Run more, yes, but keys for Blazers are Wallace, Matthews
“I never got into a rhythm,” Matthews said. “You play a few minutes, sit, then you get back in, then you sit ... there was never really a rhythm for me to get into.”

All Ball Blog: A look back: Top Horry Scale moments from 2010-11
"One of the most unlikely endings to a game all season, as Nic Batum scores four points in the last 0.9 seconds to beat the Spurs, the last two of which came on this picture-perfect lob off the inbounds pass from Andre Miller to ring up the Horry Scale breakdown. Portland’s Rose Garden would be my choice for where all GWBBs would take place, if I had my druthers. Where does one get druthers, I wonder?"

Ball Don't Lie: Wesley Matthews had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day
"If I've learned one thing from reading way too many NBA twitter accounts for nearly two years, it's that you don't mess with a man's nap or room service. Given these developments, is it any wonder Matthews played poorly? If anything, I'd say he performed admirably under the circumstances."

SLAM: Manu Ginobili Still Doubtful for Game 2
“Spurs guard Manu Ginobili had his toughest workout since injuring his right elbow last week, taking part in one-on-one scrimmaging at the end of the Spurs’ practice Monday afternoon. Ginobili was raising his sprained right elbow more in shooting and dribbling than at any time since sustaining the injury Wednesday night in Phoenix."

SLAM: Rockets Players Can’t Believe Rick Adelman Is Gone
“I’m kind of speechless,’ [Kevin] Martin said. ‘To be losing a coach of his caliber, and also losing a lot of good coaches, a lot of good people, it’s very hard. I think we lost one of the greatest coaches of all time. We took a step backwards. It’s like losing a great player. You see what happens. But for now, we took a step backwards.’"

ESPN: What do you expect in the West on Tuesday?
"I have no problem picking the Blazers in Game 2. They controlled the tempo in Dallas, and it is unlikely that Kidd will confuse himself with Reggie Miller two games in a row. Look for Portland to clamp down and finish what they started through three quarters on Sunday."

    ESPN: Daily Dime
"After a strong effort in Game 1, Brand was shut down this time by the Heat, going 1-for-5 from the field while pulling down just six boards in 30 minutes of action. "
