Rip City will be home to a possible redemption game when the Portland Trail Blazers (27-24) host the Chicago Bulls (34-15) for a one-game homestand before hitting the road once again. Tipoff is set for 7 PM.

Projected to start for Portland are Nicolas Batum, LaMarcus Aldridge, Joel Przybilla, Wesley Matthews and Andre Miller.

In the Trail Blazers' recent victory against the Cavaliers, Matthews registered 31 points and Batum added 21. The two combined for 10 three-pointers on 13 attempts, leading Portland to a season-high 12 three-balls on the night. Aldridge chipped in with 20 points and 10 boards, Miller tallied seven points and 14 assists, and Rudy Fernandez finished with 17 points off the bench.

Portland comes off a 53.8 shooting percentage against Cleveland, snapping a streak that the Trail Blazers dropped four out of five games.

On the other side, Chicago had its seven-game winning streak broken up by a 101-90 loss to the Golden State Warriors. In that matchup, Carlos Boozer paced the Bulls with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Luol Deng contributed with 18 points and six boards and Derrick Rose posted 14 points and 10 assists.

Chicago shot nearly 48 percent, but committed 17 turnovers in the game, was outscored 32-15 in fastbreak points and was held to just 18 fourth-quarter points, as the Bulls were dealt their second loss in 11 contests.

The last time these two squads met up, Chicago broke up a four-game Portland winning streak and handed the Trail Blazers their first loss of the season, as Deng took over and carried the Bulls to a victory in Chicago. In that game, Deng tallied a career-high 40 points, while Rose added 16 points and 13 points.

Aldridge showed his presence with 33 points and nine rebounds, but Portland shot less than 42 percent from the field, compared to Chicago's 60.6 shooting percentage from the floor. Not only that, but the Trail Blazers also missed all 14 three-point attempts.

Although Portland made 32 free throws and snagged 16 offensive boards, the Bulls outscored the opposition 27-10 in fastbreak points and 48-40 in the paint to seal the win.

Overall, Chicago has taken the last two games, but at the Rose Garden, the Trail Blazers took over. At home during the previous two encounters with the Bulls, Portland has won by a combined 66 points. Not only that, but the Trail Blazers have put up 110.2 points per game in a seven-game span against Chicago, during which, Portland has built a 5-2 record.

Last season, Portland marked season-bests with 116.5 points per contest and a 54.1 shooting percentage, led by Aldridge's 28 points and 10 boards per game.

Facing the Trail Blazers for the first time this year as a Bull is forward Carlos Boozer, who, when a member of the Utah Jazz last season, averaged 20.7 points and 13.3 rebounds.

Unavailable for the Trail Blazers are Greg Oden, Elliot Williams, Marcus Camby and Brandon Roy, who are sidelined with knee injuries.

Monday's face-off will air on Comcast SportsNet with Mike Barrett and Mike Rice, while Brian Wheeler and Antonio Harvey will have the call on 95.5 FM The Game.
