    The following four players are scheduled to workout for the Portland Trail Blazers on May 31, 2013.


    DJ COOPER
    Position: Guard
    Height: 6-0
    Weight: 176
    Birthdate: Dec. 6, 1990
    From: Chicago, Ill. (Seton Academy, Ill.)
    College: Ohio

    NOTEWORTHY: Played four seasons at Ohio University, averaging 14.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 2.29 steals and 33.8 minutes in 143 games (139 starts) … Only player in NCAA Division I history to post at least 2,000 career points, 900 assists, 600 rebounds and 300 steals … All-time leader at Ohio in assists (934), steals (327), 3-pointers (274), games started (139) and games played (143), as well as fourth in points (2,075) … All-time Mid-American Conference leader in assists and second all-time in steals … As a senior in 2012-13, earned AP All-America Honorable Mention honors and MAC Player of the Year, and was a Lou Henson Award Finalist and Lou Henson All-America Team member … Named the MAC Tournament MVP as a junior in 2011-12, then helping the Bobcats to the NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen … In 2010-11, was named a CollegeInsider.com Mid Major All-American and a CollegeHoops.net Honorable Mention All-American … Named MAC Freshman of the Year following the 2009-10 season … A three-time All-MAC First Team selection (2011-13).

    College: Creighton

    NOTEWORTHY: Played three seasons with Creighton after transferring from Rutgers midway through the 2009-10 season … In his collegiate career with both schools, posted averages of 9.7 points (59.8% FG), 7.1 rebounds, 1.91 blocks and 24.4 minutes in 140 games (132 starts) … With the Bluejays, averaged 10.0 points (62.5% FG), 6.6 rebounds, 1.72 blocks and 23.2 minutes in 101 games (95 starts) … In 2012-13, helped Creighton reach the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament … As a senior, was selected to the Missouri Valley Conference All-Defensive Team, MVC All-Tournament Team, and was Honorable Mention All-MVC … His junior season, earned MVC Defensive Player of the Year, the first Creighton player to win the award, and was again part of the MVC All-Defensive Team and All-Tournament Team … In his first season with Creighton, was a member of the MVC All-Newcomer Team and All-Defensive Team … Ranks third in Creighton history with 174 career blocks, which ranks eighth in Missouri Valley history … Finished as the all-time leader in Bluejays history in field goal percentage (62.5%).

    NOTEWORTHY: Played one season at the University of Arizona, averaging 5.2 points (40.9% FG, 40.5% 3-PT, 81.8% FT), 3.6 rebounds, 0.97 blocks and 17.8 minutes in 34 games (2 starts) … Led the Wildcats with 33 total blocks … First on team and fourth in the Pac-12 Conference in 3-point percentage (40.5%) … Scored a season-high 15 points (6-8 FG, 3-3 3-PT) against Oral Roberts on Dec. 18 … Tallied a career-best 10 rebounds against UCLA on Jan. 24 … Recorded six blocks, along with eight points and five rebounds, against Oregon State on Jan. 12 … Averaged 22.3 points, 10.0 rebounds and 2.4 blocked shots in leading Lutheran High School to a 25-8 record his senior season ... Named a 2012 Parade Magazine All-American and the Gatorade California Player of the Year as a senior in high school.

    NOTEWORTHY: In four seasons at Syracuse, averaged 10.6 points (43.2% FG, 75.1% FT), 2.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 0.99 steals and 26.8 minutes in 147 games … As a senior, helped lead the Orange to the team’s first NCAA Tournament Final Four since the 2002-03 season … Averaged career highs in points (13.6), rebounds (3.4), assists (3.6), steals (1.25) and minutes (33.8) as a senior … In 2012-13, ranked second among Syracuse players in scoring and assists, while ranking third in steals and free throw percentage (74.4%) … Ranked 17th in the Big East Conference in scoring and 11th in assists his final season at Syracuse … In five NCAA Tournament games in 2013, averaged 12.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.20 steals and 36.2 minutes … His freshman season, was voted by conference coaches to the Big East All-Rookie Team … Named to the Big East All-Freshman Team by The Sporting News and also was selected as a Freshman All-American by collegeinsider.com … Named to the Wooden Award Preseason Top 50 list prior to his sophomore season.
