Trailblazers.tv: Video: Marcus Camby Gets Ejected

    Sports Illustrated: Trade Chatter
"Portland is expected to be active this week, but don't expect any deals involving fourth-year small forward Nicolas Batum. Batum will be a restricted free agent this summer, and a source with knowledge of the team's thinking said the Blazers remain determined to keep him. It's not certain, though, as the reported distance between the two sides during failed extension negotiations in January will have to be bridged at some point."

NBA: Howard Remains Biggest Chip As Deadline Nears
"It's obvious that Crawford and Nate McMillan aren't working. Nobody really thought they would, but the lack of money available elsewhere for Crawford made a two-year deal with Portland for $10 million the only contract worth signing. Now, though, the Blazers are looking to cut their losses. Initially, a deal with Minnesota, which coveted Crawford initially, seemed like a no-brainer, with the Blazers re-patriating Luke Ridnour to Oregon. But Ricky Rubio's season-ending ACL tear Friday has made that potential deal much less likely, with the Wolves needing to hold onto their veteran point guard. So, now, according to a source, there's a chance Crawford winds up with the Bobcats in a potential deal for guard D.J. Augustin. Augustin has played just fine this season, but he's expendable now that Kemba Walker is there."

Trail Blazers: Trail Blazers Conjure Road Win At Wizards
"It was good to bounce back against a team that beat us at home. They are a young team but we know they can really put up points and win big games. They beat the Lakers the other night here at home, came back and won after being down 20," said Portland guard Raymond Felton. "We played together, we defended and we were aggressive, so it was good win for us."

Trail Blazers: Dispatches From The Road: I'm Glad We Were Here Together In Our Nation's Capital
"I always said, growing up, I wished the NBA was like hockey," said Camby. "You know, let guys go out there and fight and it'll eliminate a lot of the tough guys you think are tough guys in the NBA."

Trail Blazers: A Step In The Right Direction In DC
"The Blazers were 25 for 25 in the final minute of the game, but Raymond Felton then split a pair the perfect night was over. In the locker room Gerald Wallace joked loudly that Felton owed everyone $20 bucks for ruining the perfect night at the line. Felton shot back that he was owed $20 bucks from everyone because he didn’t commit a single turnover. I’ll go with Felton on that one."

Oregon Live: Portland 110, Washington 99: Trail Blazers throw a victory party in D.C.
"We haven't had any scraps like that all year," Camby said. "Except for (Aldridge) in OKC against (Kendrick) Perkins. Like I said, it was a lot of frustration built up."

Columbian: Basketball wasn’t always Blazers players' passion
"One day, after a spring basketball practice his junior year, Smith sauntered out to the football field where a scout from UCLA was roaming the sidelines. Taken aback by Craig’s physical stature, he asked Smith to run a route. “So I ran the route, caught the ball perfectly, and then they kind of offered me a scholarship or something,” Smith said. “I didn’t really want to do it, though.”

Rip City Project: Game 41 Recap: Blazers 110, Wizards 99
"Offensively, too, the Blazers looked better on Saturday than they have in a while. The ball was getting inside to LaMarcus Aldridge (fantastically efficient line from LA: 12-of-15 from the field 6-of-6 from the line, 10 rebounds, three assists, two blocks, a steal, and a game-high +12). When the ball wasn’t getting inside to LA, Portland’s guards avoided playing one-on-one and chucking jumpers at the rim. The ball was actually moving. Jump shots were actually open. The Blazers shot a more than decent 51% from the field, and if they’d been able to knock down a couple of threes (4-of-17 from deep as a team), this would have been a legit blowout."

Ball Don't Lie: Video: Gerald Green finishes the alley-oop of the year
"Green hasn't been on many fans' radars for the last few years, but anytime he enters a game, no matter where it is, there's the potential for greatness. That's exactly what happened on Saturday night when Green took a pass from MarShon Brooks on a fast break and threw it down for a windmill alley-oop. It's the best lob of the year, if not the best dunk entirely. Watch the video above. No one can blame you if you do it more than once."

Ball Don't Lie: Chris Paul is wearing a mask now, too
"Paul's wearing the mask thanks to a "nasal fracture" that he suffered during the first quarter of the Clippers' Friday night win over the San Antonio Spurs, when he was caught in the chops by the flailing left arm of Spurs swingman Danny Green, who has a history of damaging the faces of point guards with "Paul" in their last names."

Ball Don't Lie: Video: There are two portraits of Michael Jordan shaved into this gentleman’s hair
"Now, you will have to go to San Antonio to get this haircut, because that is where Razor Sharp Cutz is, and Razor Sharp Cutz is where master barber Joe Barber — which is a pretty lucky last name, considering the profession he chose — makes people's heads into love letters to Michael Jordan. (It remains unclear if he will turn your head into this love letter from Michael Jordan. I bet he would, if you asked nicely enough.)"

DIME: Daily Fantasy Basketball Diagnosis: 3.12 Weekend Recap
"Ersan Ilyasova makes his debut here after averaging 28.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.5 threes in two games over the weekend. In that stretch, he shot 69 percent from the field, 92 percent from the free-throw line and averaged turned the ball over just once. In his last 13 games, Ilyasova has averaged top five numbers, making him a serious contender for pickup of the year."

DIME: Best New Ink: Woman Gets A Massive Gary Payton Tattoo On Her Torso
"The majority of the time, there are more than enough NBA players getting ridiculous ink to satisfy even the most crazed needle lovers reading this site. Rarely will we shed light on something a random fan picked out, unless it is really, really dope. This detailed torso tattoo of Gary Payton was definitely too crazy to pass up."

    SLAM: Post-Up: Winning Time
"The Wizards allowed LaMarcus Aldridge to do whatever he wanted against them. When it was all said and done, the All-Star had 30 points on 12-15 shooting, 10 boards, 3 assists and 0 turnovers. Jamal Crawford scored 23 and Ray Felton had 21 to help snap the Blazers’ two-game losing streak. John Wall had 25 points, 8 assists and 0 (!!) turnovers, but didn’t get much help elsewhere. Jordan Crawford and Nick Young shot a combined 7-26 from the field and 1-8 from behind the arc."

SLAM via CBS: Report: Dwight Howard Blocking Potential Magic/Bulls Trade
"Magic executives are said to be unimpressed with the assets Howard’s three preferred teams could provide in a trade, prompting them to engage in a calculated campaign to expand the field of potential suitors beyond the Nets, Mavericks and Lakers. But the team that can make the strongest case for Orlando to depart from its risky strategy of holding onto Howard are the Bulls, who could offer 7-footer Omer Asik, Luol Deng and Carlos Boozer for Howard and Hedo Turkoglu, sources said. The Bulls also could offer a valuable first-round pick from Charlotte — top-14 protected in this year’s draft but but unprotected by 2016. Such a scenario has gained no traction since Chicago is “not on his list,” a person familiar with the situation said of Howard. Without assurances from Howard or his camp that he’d be willing to sign long-term with the Bulls, Chicago executives have exhibited no appetite for trade talks with the Magic. The two teams have spoken, but there’s “no type of serious discussions” going on, a person familiar with the situation said."

SLAM via NY Post: Report: Carmelo Anthony Was Against the Knicks Signing JR Smith
“Contrary to popular belief, Anthony was leery of the Knicks bringing in his former Denver teammate three weeks ago and gave a thumbs down to upper management, according to a person close to the Knicks superstar. Publicly, Anthony said all the right things about Smith, who was fined $25,000 by the NBA Saturday for tweeting a photo of a partially naked woman in his Milwaukee hotel room. A couple of weeks before the signing, Anthony was asked if the Knicks should sign his former teammate who has a thuggish reputation. Anthony and Smith share the same agent, Leon Rose. ‘If it happens, it happens and I’ll be happy,’ Anthony said publicly before the signing."

SLAM via Houston Chronicle: Kyle Lowry to Miss 2-4 Weeks Due to Bacterial Infection
“The news for the Rockets got much worse on Sunday than a few road losses. Guard Kyle Lowry, a key to their success in the first half of the season, was diagnosed with a bacterial infection and will be out for two to four weeks. Lowry had been hospitalized in New York since Thursday. He underwent a laparoscopic examination after complaining of fever and abdominal distress. He is scheduled to be discharged from the hospital to return to Houston on Tuesday.”

    ESPN: Power Rankings
"Aldridge is untouchable. Batum is still close to untouchable. Otherwise? It shouldn't surprise you if the Blazers trade anyone else or launch their coach after the way they've free-falled below .500. They're suddenly the strongest case against the value of point differential when you look at the standings."
