Trail Blazers 97, Hawks 77: Postgame Notes

    • The 97-77 victory tonight marked the sixth time the Trail Blazers have won by 20 points or more this season.

    • With the win tonight the Trail Blazers snapped a six-game losing streak to the Hawks. The six-game losing streak to Atlanta was Portland’s longest such losing streak against any opponent (now Boston, four games).

    •  LaMarcus Aldridge returned to the lineup after missing two games with a sprained left ankle and hit his first four field-goal attempts on the night.

    • Aldridge notched his eighth double-double of the year with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

    • Nicolas Batum scored 22 points in his fourth consecutive start, Batum is averaging 20.6 points-per-game in his last five games. Batum’s also scored 17 points or more in four consecutive games for the second time in his career (Nov. 6-12, 2010).

    • Nicolas Batum tied a season high for offensive rebounds grabbing four on the night.

    • All five Trail Blazers’ starters posted at least two field goals and shot better than 50% from the field in the first quarter.

    • The Trail Blazers held a 50-27 advantage in the rebounding category, their biggest advantage in rebounding so far this season.

    • Portland grabbed a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds, leading to an 18-6 advantage in second chance points.

    • Wesley Matthews snagged two steals against one turnover in tonight’s game, Matthews ranks first in the NBA in steals per turnover ratio with 44 steals and 34 turnovers on the year (1.29).

    • Atlanta’s 12 second-quarter points set new season low for points scored in the second period.

    • Kurt Thomas set a season high for rebounds in a game with 10.

    • Tonight marks the 176th consecutive sellout at the Rose Garden (including regular season and playoffs), dating back to Dec. 21, 2007.
