Trail Blazers 97, Grizzlies 84: Postgame Notes

    • Tonight marks the 168th  consecutive sellout at the Rose Garden (including regular season and playoffs), dating back to Dec. 21, 2007.

    • Portland has now won 12 of the last 15 meetings with the Grizzlies.

    • The Trail Blazers 8-1 record at home is 2nd best in the Western Conference so far this season, at 9-1 San Antonio is the only team with a better home record.

    • With eight baskets on the night LaMarcus Aldridge has surpassed Kevin Duckworth for 10th on Portland’s all-time field goals made list (2,856).

    • Aldridge scored 14 points before missing a shot, connecting on his first five field goal attempts of the night and his first four shots from the foul line.

    • Aldridge eclipsed the 20-point mark for the 11th time this season and for the eighth time in the past nine games, his 23 points marked the ninth time this season he’s led Portland in scoring.

    • Camby recorded a season-high 22 rebounds on the night, the most he’s ever recorded in a Trail Blazers uniform. He also finished with a team season-high five blocks.

    • Marcus Camby pulled down eight rebounds in the first quarter, Memphis had five rebounds collectively at the end of the first period.

    • With the win tonight Portland has now posted a record of 7-3 against teams with a winning record in 2011-12.

    • The Trail Blazers ended the Grizzlies seven-game winning streak, the longest current winning streak in the NBA.

    • With back-to-back home wins the Trail Blazers have a chance to earn a sweep on their first back-to-back-to-back set since 1999. In that season Portland played three back-to-back-to-back sets and swept one of them.

    • Gerald Wallace leads the NBA in field goal percentage at home shooting 63.8% (67-of-105), Wallace has shot 50% or better in every game at the Rose Garden this season.

    • Wallace has snagged 65 rebounds in his last seven games, an average of 9.3 boards per game.

    • Portland opened the game with a 9-1 advantage in rebounding and finished the night with 50 rebounds to Memphis’ 39, the fourth consecutive game Portland has outrebounded their opponent.

    • Memphis’ 13 third quarter points are tied for the fewest points allowed by the Trail Blazers in any quarter this season (13, at Houston, Jan. 16).

    • Portland connected on 18 consecutive free throws and finished shooting 83% on 30-for-36 from the line, the 30 made free throws are the most in a single game by Portland this season.

    • Raymond Felton’s streak of leading the team in assists ended tonight at 10 consecutive games, the last time Felton was not the team leader in assists was Jan. 6 at Phoenix.
